Wow...I think Radio suggested he would post around 3.....:D

I hope he posts soon...I really cannot stand the suspense......Patience may be a virtue...but it is not one of mine!!!

The weather back in May was basically perfect the entire time....hope that it's the same, seeing as there are lots of Radio family members aboard....:p

Radio, thanks again for the time you take to put us all on board! We did a 9 day out of NYC with my daughter, son in law and 3 yr. old grandson last May. It was his second cruise, the first being at 19 months old! We did the Eastern Caribbean/Bermuda on the Caribbean Princess when he was 3. He loved seeing the dolphins in Bermuda as well as a Pirate ship sail we did in St. Thomas. Have a great time with your family!!

Thanks!! And happy birthday to you and Medicken!! :)

Nope, 9256 is a highly sought after "aft" cabin. It is one of those true aft wraps

that (though narrow at the one side) lets you see around the corner along

with that great wake view. We love it for the large balcony and lots of light it lets in.

Check! Had one on the Jewel (not corner though) and on the Enchantment. I love the aft balconies and the serenity of the wake trailing out to infinity. Love, too, the smaller ship experience of the Radiance and Enchantment. All that glass keeps you in touch with the sea. That's why I cruise. And a few other reasons, too

We don't sail again until Oct 5th on the Vision of the Seas

We have got to cruise together sometime...

Hello everyone. . . Welcome to DAY 1 of "LIVE" from Enchantment of the Seas.

I left my house at around 10 and I’m glad I left early. . .There was a lot of traffic on I-95 on the way to the pier. The rough traffic only lasted a few min and I arrived right at 1030AM. Security was a breeze as I was able to get to the Check In counter in just a few moments.

I think arriving early is what I prefer as I like the fact that I don’t have to wait in a long security and check in line. I met my daughter and her husband in Cruise Maryland right before security, and we all boarded at 11:20AM.

My whole family made it on board by around 1230PM, and I can tell you that the little guy will be handled like a king this week. He is very happy to be on board and I can’t wait until we sail to see his reaction. Right now he just thinks he is in a big hotel.

The muster drill is coming up very soon, and we are scheduled for sail away at 4PM. Here are a few pics from my arrival. . .I should be able to get many more posted after dinner ! We have early seating MTD. We have partly cloudy skies, but it is very hot, and there is a lot of sunlight coming through. We should have a very nice sail down the Chesapeake Bay this evening. By the time we wake up tomorrow, we will be at full speed in the Atlantic Ocean heading for Bermuda. . .

Thanks for all of the nice comments so far, and thanks for tuning in !

If you and Trainman cruise together, try to get him to use the same process of posting photos. When I am at work, I can see your photos. But I cannot see his. My work computer does block a lot of sites , and it doesn't say why all of the times. So i do not know why I can see you but a lot of the others it does not. Sherri does not display, yet there is a current thread frm OASIS with great photos does.

Hello everyone. . .We left the Pier shortly after my last post this afternoon. Captain Gus (Andersson) suggested that we would leave at 4PM, and we left very soon after that.

I noted that the 2 pools up on deck 9 were sparkling when I first came on board, but that quickly changed when dozens of passenger got in during sail away. I can only assume that they will both be drained and cleaned tonight. (1 saltwater and 1 freshwater pool)The Entertainment staff were all out on the decks to get passengers up to dance with good music and a very festive atmosphere. It seemed that everyone was out on the decks during our sail away.

We passed under the Francis Scott (Key) Bridge at about 430, and the Chesapeake Bay Bridge by around 6PM. We still have about 70nm to go before we arrive at the Cape Henry Pilot station. (Just south of Norfolk, VA) We are sailing at a brisk 20kts, and I am glad we are moving fast because it is helping to make things comfortable while outside. It was very hot and humid this afternoon. . .

We had a great dinner tonight at 6PM and as I expected, the waiter really enjoyed my little Rody (DGS) and he really seems like he’s going to like this CruiseShip kind of holiday. I wanted to walk down to the welcome Aboard show, but I got tricked in going to Casino Royale. . .Well I am happy to say that so far it seems that she is very “Radio Friendly”

John Blair is the Cruise director again on Enchantment of the Seas, and I have enjoyed John as CD for the last several cruises I have sailed. He is a very funny CD, that the passengers all seem to like. It seems that the Enchantment of the Seas entertainment staff has a lot of fun planned for us over the next 6 nights.

Here are a few pics from this afternoon. . .I will be up bright and early tomorrow for more pics and commentary.

Thanks for tuning in !
