Thought I had it all figured out...

I really thought I was set on a Celebrity cruise (the new Reflection) for Spring break this year... until I priced airfare :eek:.

 

Now I am going back and forth between RCL's Navigator out of New Orleans, versus The Reflection out of Miami.

 

Pros for Celebrity: Brand new ship, I like this itinerary better (San Juan, St. Martin, St. Kitts vs Cozumel, Grand Cayman and Jamaica), since it is Spring beak it may be less crazy then an RCL ship.

 

Pros for RCL: More for the kids to do (they are ages 12 and 8), better price (I can get a resident rate), we have never been to New Orleans so we could spend a few days before exploring the city.

 

Here's the thing... in real cost (after factoring in airfare and OBC's, free gratuities, ect) The Reflection is about $750 more.

 

I know that this is completely subjective... but I do want your opinions. All things considered, Which would you choose?

I prefer Celebrity over RCL.

 

However, I am sure the kids will love RCL and if money is an issue I would go with the RCL.

Another thought - That $750 means a couple of spa visits or upgraded excursions - that means you could really explore what RCI has to offer. Or even a larger cabin?

With kids the age of yours, go RCI, save the $$$ and everyone will have a fine time.

I'd go with the Navigator out of New Orleans. Fun to discover a new city.
