Port or Starboard - Dominica-Grenada-Bonaire-Aruba

We went last year on a Southern Caribbean itinerary and some port stops were Grenada and St Thomas. We had a starboard balcony. We got to see alot of these islands arriving and departing. We were assigned to a window table on starboard side as well. Since we were not on port side, I can't tell you if we missed anything!

We were on that exact cruise November 2011 as well as the other itinerary this past November. Both times we had a port side balcony and that was the side with the "view" of the ports themselves in all the islands. If you prefer to view the sea while in port, book the starboard side. At sea, it makes no difference what side you are on.

We prefer to be on the port side as it's the place to be when you sail out of Fort Lauderdale, lots of fun sailing out past the condos and all the people waving and blowing horns!

Doing Emerald Princess Southern Caribbean 10 Day Medley in a couple weeks .. probably not a big-deal either way .. but IMO agree - Port Side on THIS itinerary has the best views/ports - especially with a balcony.

Agree with this quote-also you will have the sun on your balcony for 2 days after leaving Aruba. we done this trip 2 years ago and the last 2 days were great on our balcony

Yes - good point ... and those are 2 R+R sea-days.
