Pacruzer Posted February 23, 2013 #328 Share Posted February 23, 2013 (edited) We were on the Adventure feb 3, 2013 it was the best embarkation we had in 10 years of going on that ship. We pulled up at 1045 am and we were left in the building already inaread of waiting outside. They checked us in and let us sit inside in chairs set up in rows. By 1130 we alloed to board with no issues. There was a store there and I bought two bottles of wine and a 12 pack of water Edited February 23, 2013 by Pacruzer
Pack My Bags Posted February 23, 2013 #329 Share Posted February 23, 2013 Robyn, Hi there. Great it's going so well. Wondering... Would you please report.... Besides the mid cruise "$25 for a bag full of laundry promo" I am wondering when it's time for B2B did they offer you a "free laundry coupon" going into the 2nd leg? (Celebrity does this, wondering if RCI does too.) Thanks!!!! :)

Ocean Boy Posted February 24, 2013 #331 Share Posted February 24, 2013 I was just checking "Marine Traffic", 8 PM Saturday night and Adventure of the Seas is just off of the south west coast of Puerto Rico cruising at 14.7 knots. So it looks like the ship will then sail east along the north coast of Puerto Rico and into San Juan. Right now the ship appears to be about 25 miles off of the coast line. Robyn, I just thought that you might like to know where you are.;):p

Tonite is the last night of the first leg of our B2B - it has been a specatacular week in every way :D Weather has been beyond perfect and I am on my favorite ship ....LG = Life is good! I have met many wonderful CC members and am sad to see some of them leaving tomorrow - but I am looking forward to meeting those CC members from the 2/24 roll call. I forgot to mention that Anthony Richards will not be our CD next week, it will be Jerome (not sure of last name, he is the Activities Manager) and he is VERY good!!! Tomorrow we are not disembarking, instead we will enjoy a relaxing day onboard. We set sail again at 8:30PM and I am excited about the new itinerary with 5 amazing ports!!! I will continue to update each day. Dorothy - thank you for the bottle of wine, I will enjoy it on my balcony! :) Thanks for following along!!!! nat9511 Posted February 24, 2013 #339 Share Posted February 24, 2013 Do they sell sodas in the store at the port? I don't remember seeing the store when I sailed from there two years ago. Four weeks from today we will be onboard the lovely Adventure and I can't wait.

Ocean Boy Posted February 24, 2013 #342 Share Posted February 24, 2013 How far from Pan Am port is Senor Frogs? Just wondering :) It is on the other side of the bay in Old San Juan. Depending on traffic I would say about a 10 minute cab ride.

Ocean Boy Posted February 24, 2013 #347 Share Posted February 24, 2013 (edited) Marine Traffic shows Adventure docked in San Juan. Independence is steaming south at 17 knots off of the coast of Hollywood, FL a few miles behind Allure. My plan this week is to sit here tracking the two ships until Indy picks me up in Ft Lauderdale next Saturday. :) Edited February 24, 2013 by Ocean Boy

ckrobyn Posted February 25, 2013 Author #349 Share Posted February 25, 2013 Helllllooooo from week 2 on the beautiful Adventure of the Seas!!!! :D Great to see so many people reading and following along. I had a fantastic first week and looking very forward to the next 7 days with 5 exciting ports! Turnaround day was SO simple. Meet in the Imperial Lounge at 10:30am.....escorted off at 10:35am....back onboard at 10:40am :p There was a special lunch for B2B guests, but we didn't go - we headed to the pool instead and spent a gorious afternon soaking up the amazing San Juan sunshine! Our meet and greet by the pool was not well attended, but there were a few of us, and as Crisndeefromde already said, we have definitely enjoyed eachother's company!!! I just came from Welcome Aboard show #2 - looks as if the entertainment this week will be good. If I had to call out one weak area......it would be the entertainment. I'm not saying it's bad....but I have seen better  In any case, the headliner changes each week. Tomorrow we will be in St. Croix. Our plan is to explore the island and have lunch somewhere before heading back onboard. The weather forecast is 87 and sunny - seems to be the theme for these cruises!!! I am off to la la land in my cabin - the ship is rolling a bit and that makes for a GREAT night's sleep!!! Thanks for following along - more tomorrow!!!
