Following your thread because we have booked two connecting grand suites 1578 and 1584 on AOS out of San Juan for next February and love all your information about AOS. I saw your itinerary tonight and realized you will be in Curacao the same time as us (we are staying at the Marriott Emerald Resort this weekend) lol. We love Curacao and hope you have lots of fun and good luck during you cruise!

We had a super fun day in St. Kitts! The beach excursion through RCI was great, our bus driver was an amazing tour guide and we really felt as if we saw a lot of the island. Okay, why did nobody tell me that there are over 100,000 monkeys on St. Kitts???? They are so adorable and can be found in most of the trees, and on the arms of locals who exploit them for pictures/money :(. I wonder if anyone has tried to sneak one onboard????

Wait! You've never heard about any of the St. Kitts monkeys' jokes?:

A guy is driving down main street in St. Kitts with a car full of monkeys. A local cop stops him and says "Hey mon, you need to take them monkeys to the zoo!"

The guy agrees and drives off.

The next day, the cop seeing the same guy drive by. Again with a car full of monkeys, but now they are wearing sun-glasses.

The cop says "Hey mon, I told you yesterday to take them monkeys to the zoo were they belong!"

The guy replies "I did mon, today I'm taking them to the beach!"

Which beach excursion did you choose? My first trip to St Kitts is in April and we have no excursion booked yet. Glad to see your have a fantastic time! Loving your posts!

Last March (2012) we toured with Thetford Grey's tour & had (his brother was our guide ... AWESOME ... we went "gingerly") a stop for a few hours at the Shipwreck ... Beach with restaurant/bar ... food was very good & we had a group of >20 with everyone satisfied! Mongoose & green monkeys in the trees opposite the parking area. Fantastic Day!!!

Robyn did you miss the note re: green monkeys & mongoose in the trees opposite the Shipwreck Beach Bar? Lots of chat about the "monkey man" who tries to scam the tourists for money when he puts the monkey on them for a photo op .... Well you can't remember it all!

Tomorrow is a sea day ... then Aruba & Curacao? Stop by the Bugaloo & Gilligan's Island in Aruba .... thats as far as we made it before a big storm (only 20 min) but everyone bailed the beaches!

Those of you who still keep your sea legs after cruising means you are also really dehydrated. You can't just have foofoo drinks. Thats a lot of sun!!! You need to drink MUCH more water ON the cruise to battle the balance issues.

Thanks Pack My Bags. I would never have even considered that; however, I think you might be right on in my case. I do have issues with chronic dehydration, and no it's not from "just" the foofoo drinks (are margaritas and mojitos really foofoo anyway?). I will certainly keep this in mind this next sail/after-sail. Thanks again!

I would have told you if I know you liked them. I just thought it would have given you one more opportunity to  at me.;):p

ckrobyn thank you for all the reports on your Adventure cruise. We sail on a B2B in March. Have been to most of the islands in the past and look forward to seeing them again. Is it true that the Adventure has been refirbished or Allureasized? Do they have the new Italian place to eat instead of Portafino's? We have only been on the Voyager itself twice but no other Voyagers class ships.

Thanks again for all the reports. :)

Take care

[size="4"Robyn-thank you for taking sooo many of us on your vacation. I have never stayed in the OS. Have my pre-pad gratuities been applied to my seapass?

Your details of the AOS are amazing. You helped me plan my first trip on her in 2007. Now in a couple of weeks I will be on the AOS once again.

Questions???

Did you notice what time was the earliest people were able to drop thier bags off at the port. We are planning on heading over to Bacardi before we checked in.

Thank You for the help.

Angela

The General Store on the Promenade sells chocolate bars. Not a huge selection, but chocolate nonetheless

Thanks for that Robyn .....:( shame about the smoking in the Dog & Duck. Maybe they'll stop that for our cruise from Southampton!!

Have a great cruise....enjoy your sunshine!

Hey Robyn, glad to hear you are having a fab time. We are only home from the Adventure a few weeks and already we are looking forward to sailing on her again next year! We too thought the food in the MDR was awesome :D No complaints on the food, or anything else for that matter. The Adventure is a wonderful ship! We look forward to your pics when you are safely at home.

What a fabulous day at sea :D We couldn't have asked for better weather, it was sunny all day with minimal wind. Our M&M was today, there were about 25 of us and we did a cabin crawl as well. Very nice to meet all of you!!!!

The Quest was last night and was a lot of fun!!! There were a lot of new Quests, so the cheaters were outta luck! Our team came in 2nd.....

I attended the gambling with the Cruise Director as well and came away with an inch of gold bracelet and a Casino Royale T-shirt

Another great dinner in the MDR tonight - I tried the beef short ribs that were recommended by someone on CC, and they were very good. The desserts have been excellent as well.

The Adventure is in good shape. People really need to stop picking at the artwork - some of the pieces around the ship that are made of material look a little tired, but mainly because people are touching them....! I see the crew taking very good care of this ship, and it is obvious they are very proud of her.

I forgot to mention that I purchased a bottle of Cruzan Rum Cream in St. Thomas and it was confiscated  LOL - our cabin attendant will bring it to us on Saturday night so we can enjoy it next week. Many people took advantage of the 2 bottles of wine opportunity on the first day - I have heard many positive comments.

Tomorrow we are in Aruba and the forecast looks good - should be 88 and sunny with partly cloudy skies. We are headed to Palm Beach in the morning and shopping in the afternoon. I have been to Aruba many times and enjoy the island :) We will be in port until 10PM.

I am off to see the show now, followed by Battle of the Sexes....and then maybe an early night??? Doubt it.

More tomorrow!!!!
