Everything quantum!!!!!!

Recommended Posts

That statement wasn't mean negative towards you. Was just saying given Rccl's history it isn't surprising.

No worries, no offense taken. I don't want a water slide, I feel it takes away from the looks of the ship although the North Star isn't particularly attractive.

I think the rumour of a water slide simulator is ludicrous. Why not just have a cruise ship simulator and do away with it all? Would be cheaper...

Plus they have already ruined the look of the ship with the giant crane arm, so I don't think adding a water slide would do much more damage to it.

I totally agree that North Star is a bit of an eyesore. Will I use it? Absolutely.

gaaaaaaaaaah, i want some new details! What's the hold up

I'm eaves-dropping on a "What's new with RCI" webinar later this week. If there is ANYTHING new regarding Quantum, I'll be taking notes and uploading info as quickly as I can.

This was posted in the Cruise Director thread!

Hi everbody Richard spacey had just pósted ON Facebook he Will be taking out the quantum of the seas also he also he Will the senior cruise director,he said ken rush Will be with him to help him out.

I am so happy right now! I think I've been pretty vocal about not liking Ken Rush on here. It sounds like Royal Caribbean may finally be listening and chose a compromise. Let Richard be the face and handle the people while Ken pulls the strings behind the scenes. The best of both words!

Wow I've been gone for about a week and not much has happened! In other news, looks like the mural is really coming along on the Getaway and I guess they decided to update the date on the picture as well! :p

Nothing?! The Quantum has its engines! They'll start lowering the blocks onto the keel soon. :)

New video on the Two70 robots!

OK, so if there’s anything I may like more than ship builds, its robots. That video reminded of something I had seen on tv in the past. Sure enough, Robotic Arts' patented RoboScreens were used at Bon Jovi’s The Circle Tour in March 2010. The screens and the part they played in the Bon Jovi tour were featured in an episode of Daily Planet, a show on Discovery Channel Canada that originally aired May 27th, 2010.

Here is the clip:

So now looking forward to experiencing these robotic screens in Two70, the Ripcord by iFly, and maybe the bumper cars…maybe.

Really interesting video, thanks for sharing. I watched the Penn State show they streamed online that year and never even realized all this robotic stuff was there. When they showed the set list it wasn't even used until half way. Huge investment for such little use, but someone had to be first. Hope Royal Caribbean can pull some amazing things off now. I doubt they'll be walking on them though, lol.
