Toddcan Posted September 30, 2013 #6 Share Posted September 30, 2013 We've had a balcony cabin right across from the elevator hallway at the hump section of the Freedom class, and had no issues with noise.

cb at sea Posted September 30, 2013 #13 Share Posted September 30, 2013 The stairs and elevators are in a foyer....it's not clearly shown as a foyer on the deck plans. No noise and VERY convenient!
luvseaair Posted September 30, 2013 #14 Share Posted September 30, 2013 We stayed in cabin 9022 on the Brilliance of the Seas. Lift shaft opposite ourdoor separated by wall. Great location and no noise whatsoever. Have fun :) Sent from my GT-I8160 using Forums mobile app
OCruisers Posted September 30, 2013 #15 Share Posted September 30, 2013 We like a balcony cabin as close as possible to the mid-ship elevators. Never have had any noise issues. :) LuLu ~~~~
Pomperaugrr Posted September 30, 2013 #16 Share Posted September 30, 2013 We also have stayed in cabins and suites right near the elevators. We have never had any serious noise issues. I can only recall a handful of times we briefly heard loud voices at night. The convenience is well worth it. Eric
Hebe55 Posted September 30, 2013 #17 Share Posted September 30, 2013 We are just off the Liberty, we were three doors from elevators and heard no noise, great location actually.
mjldvlks Posted September 30, 2013 #18 Share Posted September 30, 2013 Generally agree with what is said above. We have frequently been near the elevators and have never had noise problems. To elaborate a bit, there is a partition wall between the elevator lobby or foyer and the cabin hallways. Simple math should tell you that there has to be more foot traffic past the cabins nearest the elevators, but the hallways are carpeted and noise is kept to a minimum. Again, as others have said, we have been there several times and noise has never been a problem. Enjoy your cruise.
SheilaSailAway Posted September 30, 2013 #19 Share Posted September 30, 2013 We have never had a problem with noise, you may hear a few little feet running by at times, but it quickly passes. You'll love the location! Have a wonderful cruise!

G85 SS Posted September 30, 2013 #21 Share Posted September 30, 2013 We've been near the elevator many times because it is a convenient place to be, and noise has not been a problem for us. Ditto. Almost every single cruise I have been next to the stairs/elevators. The noisiest cabin I had was on Sovereign of the Seas deck 3 interior stateroom. Seemed like all night long we heard stomping and running down the halls.

Debinnova Posted September 30, 2013 #24 Share Posted September 30, 2013 I just got off the Brilliance of the Seas yesterday. We were two cabins off the elevator lobby and there was a partial dividing wall as well. When standing in front of our cabin door, the noise (music/events) in the centrum (Radiance class design) was VERY loud but once in the cabin with door shut - couldn't really hear anything - good soundproofing. I would be more concerned with what is above and below you. Cabins above or below is the best. If you are under the pool, whirlpools or Windjammer, that can be more of an issue than elevator noise I think. Have fun on your cruise!
