I will add something I haven't seen mentioned here yet.

The new pins are oval instead of square and they have the hull art of the ship they represent. Very attractive and are worth keeping !!

 They sound very nice. But in all honesty since I don't like any of the hull art on the new builds, not sure if that would be a selling factor to me if I went on one teeheehee.

Great idea! I could attach them to the necklace part of a cloth lanyard and that can be their home when I'm not cruising! Do they sell Norwegian lanyards in the gift shops? I usually don't wear a lanyard all day, but for a Meet and Greet or Latitudes gathering would be doable. Of course now I'll have to get missing pins for Dawn and Pearl.

On Pearl last month they had three different styles of NCL branded lanyards in the gift shop. That is where I store my ship pins.

Seriously, what do people actually DO with these pins? Give me some ideas please! They are currently cluttering up my jewelry box. I suggested my DH put his on a "cruise" hat, and that was quickly shot down. Not sure why people are so crazy to get them.

What I do with mine is put mine in a scrapbook that I do for each ship. My little one helps me do it and she loves it.

Others on my roll call mentioned that they wear them while on other cruises or to meet & greet. :)

Your room steward has nothing to do with your ship pin unless you are suggesting he/she took it which I highly doubt.

The room steward is the one who brings them to the room. I'm not implying they took it, just that they never delivered it.

I am definitely aware that you can go down and ask for one, the problem is that I forgot to do so. I remembered one night that I hadn't received it and was going to go down and get one and completely forgot about it...until last night. Sigh

Thanks for all of the offers for the pins. I'll let you guys know.

Someone on my roll call said to sign into my latitudes account and go down to the bottom and hit the email them, but on all of the screens says :

"We're unable to find your account using the information provided."

This doesn't make sense because I'm logged into my account, my latitudes information is brought up...but it won't let me do anything.

If there wasn't so much dang snow here, I'd bring mine to you being as you're only about an hour or so south of me! We could meet at Hollywood Casino in Toledo! What a great excuse to gamble..... like I really need an excuse!!;)

This link is from an old thread regarding the pins :D

That's really cool. They are missing some from there though.

Man, I really want a Spirit pin too! I was on her right before they started the "new" pin program.

You mean I could actually SELL mine on EBay?!;)

Actually, I never got an Epic pin and have searched to no avail for one...:(

I want them as a very small souvenir to remember my cruises.

It has been a disappointment, to say the least.

Like a lanyard people wear in Disney for pin trading :p

I forgot to go and ask the CC when I was on my 1nighter on the Gem in Nov. and I said to myself the night before the cruise "don't forget to get a ship pin!" Lol

I usually give mine away to cruisecritics who need one. I mailed a bunch of the no longer in service ships and the old pins to one who collected them...under the condition I better not see them on eBay, lol. I gave some away again a few years ago, but I never got the Epic or Breakaway when sailed.

Below is what I just found in my drawer if anyone wants them:

Dawn (the blue and gold colored pin)

The new ones with the ship hull:

Jewel (2)

Star (2)

Jade (2)

Pearl (1)

If you want one, give me your email and I will write you so you can give me your mailing address.

I also have 1 extra Jewel if any one wants it.

I called NCL today because I forgot to get a pin from the Jewel this year. The person I talked to tried to get in touch with the person with the pins, they are on vacation until 1-6-14. She sent the person an e-mail and if they have the pin, they will mail it to me. This is the number that I called: 1-866-625-1164

I was able to email latclerical@ncl.com with my info and they sent me all 3 from my prev cruises. I didn't expect anything but they came. Don't expect an email back confirming. They just showed.
