Any info on the Epic?

 

Came off on Saturday and this is who was on our sailing:

 

Hotel Director - Steven Jacobson

Assistant Hotel Director - Joao Paulo Miranda

F&B Director - Ludwig Lozano - left on Saturday for vacation, back in 2 mths

Executive Housekeeper - Nicolas Christopher

Cruise Director - Richard Abreu

Guest Services Manager - Claudia Condurachi

Executive Chef - Denton Laing

Beverage Manager - Mohamed Siyabdeen

Restaurant Manager - Gary Bryan

On the Gem no with Carlos for the 2nd time. He is a very nice man. He is a very replaceable Concierge. Also Jenny is leaving on Monday but will return in 2 months to remain HD on the Gem

 

I would love to meet you one day! Seems as though we both sail the Gem quite often and love her!

Thanks! I wonder if that's the same Richard we had on the Pearl in 2011.

 

Added: nope, just Googled him. Different Richard.

Do you happen to know who will be replacing Jenny? Also, is it safe to presume that Carlos will still be onboard on 1/29?

Carlos is onboard now. Orazio Caci will replace Jenny, that is ... if Jenny can actually be replaced? lol

 

 

New CD onboard also. Matt has left the Gem

Has anyone seen the Butler Rolando lately? He was the Haven Courtyard Butler on Jade in June 2011 and was just phenomenol...soooo enthusiastic and eager to go the extra mile to make your day special. I hope they assigned him permanently as a Haven suite Butler. Arnie who was on the Jade as our suite Butler was also very good...he put on a fantastic sail away party and served drinks in our suite one day with another couple and their Butler also staying in the Haven.

 

Also, the Butler Putu that I had on Star in 2009 was like a character from a movie. I'd be poolside with a drink with all the ice melted, and Putu would appear out of thin air with a freshened glass. Socks and shoes kicked off in the suite would magically find their way to the closet. I loved calling him on the phone they give you just to hear his musical "Putu here!"

 

I always hope to see some of these exceptional NCL folks again sometime.

Nobody can completely replace Carlos. He's amazing and so fun! I hope he has a great vacation.

 

I will be on the Jewell in six days. What can you folks tell me about Concierge Virginia? And does anyone happen to know who is doing the butlering in the Haven Suites area of the Jewel these days?

We had Virginia on the Dawn last January. She was awesome!! Very sweet and willing to do anything for you.:)

I am sorry we will miss having him! I understand that Pearl is the Casino Manager and is stepping in while he is on vacation. They must know what they are doing, but that sounds odd to me! Let's hope she is on her game as she will have many suites to oversee.

We had a concierge named Pearl on the Pearl about 2 years ago. I don't know if she had some extraordinarily demanding passengers to deal with or not but we left the only negative evaluation that we have ever submitted. Hopefully with a couple of years additional experience your experience with her will be better than ours.

Sorry, Hugo will be going on vacation in just a few days. We'll be on Breakaway tomorrow so will be lucky to see him!

 

Prem is taking over as HD. We are also looking forward to seeing him!

Do you know if Prem is moving to the Breakaway from the Pearl, or just filling in temporarily? He's one of our favorite HD's and we were hoping to catch him on the Pearl in December.
