Ok, just for fun . . .

1. Favorite departure port and why

- So far I've only sailed from Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and Charleston, and they all led to me boarding a ship, so . . . all three of them.

2. Favorite carnival ship and why

- Liberty, because she was my first.

3. Favorite port of call and why

- Antigua, because while there I hung out with a few locals and forgot I was on vacation.

4. Best excursion you've ever taken and why

- Never been on any.

5. Favorite sea day activity..why

- Sleeping late, because I don't have to worry about getting off of the ship.

6. Favorite meal in the mdr

- Salmon and mashed potatoes with whatever green veggie is available.

7. Favorite drink!

- Uh, anything that quenches my thirst.

8. Favorite cabin type/deck...why

- Porthole cabins are my favorite because I can have a window, but pay less for it than an interior cabin with no window.

1. Port Canaveral / very easy to get around and flow worked great

2. Dream / lots to do, lots of places to sit, never felt crowded

3. St Thomas (hands down) / we loved the island and the beach, just incredible

4. Moby Dick tours in Grand Cayman / we snorkeled and swam with the stingrays but with a small private tour. It was not awesome experience.

5. I really enjoy the piano bar and guitar players. The dream had both. I also enjoy a nap in a deck chair where I can hear the ocean.

6. No favorite meal but the warm chocolate melting cake has stolen my heart!

7. Fun ship / Love that drink!!

8. I'm an interior person because we don't spend much time there. I've done a grand suite and while nice they are very expensive. I like being below the Lido deck. Easy access to everything up top which is where we spend a lot of time.

Just booked a cruise on the Dream and it's all I can think about! I thought it would be fun to ask/answer some carnival cruising questions:D

1. Favorite departure port and why

DW - San Diego, she loved Old Town

Me - Port Canaveral. Everything is right there, and has one of the best dive restaurants I've been to.

2. Favorite carnival ship and why

DW - Carnival Triumph, because it was our first Carnival cruise, received a huge room upgrade, and she liked the layout of the ship.

Me - Carnival Spirit. I love the spirit class ships, but the Spirit colors and décor were most to my liking.

3. Favorite port of call and why

DW - St. Kitts, because Nevis is nearby.

Me - Belize, awesome islands and great snorkeling.

4. Best excursion you've ever taken and why

DW - Snorkeling at Pinel island.

Me - Waterfall hike in Dominica with Peter Green. Longest and most grueling walk ever. But worth it to do once.

5. Favorite sea day activity. why

DW - Casino.

Me - Lounging on the deck with beer.

6. Favorite meal in the mdr

DW - Dessert

Me - Prime Rib

7. Favorite drink!

DW - Strawberry Margarita

Me - Appleton Rum, straight up or with a splash of coke

8. Favorite cabin type/deck...why

DW - Aft wrap on the Spirit. Walk-in closet, huge balcony.

Me - Because my wife said aft wrap, I'll say cove balcony on the Dream. The closer to the water, the better. Looking forward to it on the Breeze in 20 days!

1. Favorite departure port and why

Tampa. Maybe because we just stayed a few blocks away (although we did have a taxi ride from hedoublehockeysticks to get to the port, but we though embarkation and debarkation were amazingly smooth and fast. 2nd favorite would be Miami. They just know how to move a ton of people fast!

2. Favorite carnival ship and why

Breeze! Felt like I was at a Caribbean resort and I loved the feel!

3. Favorite port of call and why

Grand Cayman! Free good quality snorkeling within a ten minute walk!

4. Best excursion you've ever taken and why

Snorkeling with Aruba Bob in Aruba! Simply an amazing mile long power snorkel with a group of guides that do it because they love it - not because it is a job!

5. Favorite sea day activity..why

Balcony. Book. Heaven.

6. Favorite meal in the mdr

Lobster. Not the best lobster I've ever had but at least I know what I'm eating. The rest of the MDR is sorta, well, underwhelming. Not that the food is bad, it just isn't worth the wait and production to me. Cucina del Capitano and the Steakhouses - wonderful!

7. Favorite drink!

Changes every cruise. Last time I got into the Raspberry Daquiris. I like the Funship Special too.

8. Favorite cabin type/deck...why

Balcony. Anywhere from one deck below Lido to the top of the ship! And we prefer midship to forward as opposed to midship to aft. Our total preference is just outside the Atrium elevators. Because of the ease to access all areas of the ship quickly.

1. Favorite departure port and whyProbably New Orleans. It was fun to spend the day before the cruise just exploring the city. I haven't cruised out of Fort Lauderdale but the first time I cruised out of Miami we spent the day before in Fort Lauderdale and had fun so that is a close second.

2. Favorite carnival ship and why A tie between The Dream and the Liberty. The Dream because of Ocean Plaza and Lanai. Both are great places to hang out, in my opinion, on sea days. The Lanai, at least for me, was quieter than the Serenity area. The Liberty because when I cruised on her the CD was Karl With a K and I loved him as CD. Everytime you turned around there he was. He was very hands on, moreseo than any other CD I've ever had and it made the sea days much more fun.

3. Favorite port of call and why Half Moon Cay. Why? Automatic beach day. The water is beautiful the sand is beautiful. It's so peaceful to sit there with a book on the sand and read. Or to just go walking around and then going for a swim. Just over all a really nice day.

4. Best excursion you've ever taken and why Cave Tubing in Belize. Yeah I know I complained on the hike because the rocks were hurting my feet. (I wore water shoes instead of wearing my ratty old sneakers like I was planning on and I could feel every rock) It was interesting to see inside the caves and all the trees and flowers.

5. Favorite sea day activity..why Trivia contests during the day, comedy club or Dive in Movies at night. No particular reason why just enjoy them.

6. Favorite meal in the mdr Lobster tail on Elegant night and the night they serve the Jerk Pork Loin. The Pork Loin is so tender and the sauce has a great flavor to it.

7. Favorite drink! Kiss on theLips followed in second to The Mocha Chocolate Getaway

8. Favorite cabin type/deck...why Empress Deck intereior. Why? Above us is cabins, below us is cabins so you don't have to worry about noise coming from public areas.

Just booked a cruise on the Dream and it's all I can think about! I thought it would be fun to ask/answer some carnival cruising questions:D

1. Favorite departure port and why

I LOVE Jacksonville. You park very close to the ship and it's so easy to board as well as disembark. I wish they had more 7 days cruises at that port.

2. Favorite carnival ship and why

I love the Legend. Ship's layout is great and there are many places for some quiet time if you prefer.

3. Favorite port of call and why

St. Thomas. It's beautiful and you can grab a cab for Hidden Cove beach and snorkel as long as you like. Best part, it's free (other than the inexpensive cab fare)

4. Best excursion you've ever taken and why

All-time favorite was my private excursion of St. Petersburg, Russia. Loved every minute!!!

5. Favorite sea day activity..why

I love spending time in the Spa, especially on the Dream. Ahhhh, so relaxing

6. Favorite meal in the mdr

I loved the Spring Lamb. Alas, they no longer serve it. They have a lamb shank one night, but it's nothing like the Spring Lamb.

7. Favorite drink!

I love, love, love Kiss on the Lips.

8. Favorite cabin type/deck...why

Just for fun, answers above.:D

1. Favorite departure port and why--I would have to say NYC as it is

and leisurely sailaway--I love seeing Freedom tower, Lady

Liberty, Ellis Island, Verazzano Bridge

2. Favorite carnival ship and why--I love the Liberty--great CD, great

food venues, very clean, fabulous service

I also love the Splendor as we had a spa room and absolutely

LOVED the thelassotherapy pool and steam rooms

3. Favorite port of call and why--I have so many favorites--San Juan,

Puerto Rico--because there is so much to see and do there, it

is very clean--has a lot of interesting history

Grand Turk is my another favorite as I love the beach there

4. Best excursion you've ever taken and why--We went on a Jolly Roger

Pirate cruise in St Thomas on our very 1st cruise--I guess that

is my favorite--watching my elderly mother have such a great

time--we laughed and laughed at the comic antics of the

pirates

5. Favorite sea day activity--why--Thelassotherapy pool and heated

lounges--hot tubs--reading in the Serenity area with a non-

2. Legend - not too big, not too small. Excellent layout.

3 . Roatan - I love that island.

4 - Victor Bodden private tour of Roatan. And scuba diving in Belize.

5 - Trivia. Also, wine tastings.

6 - Appetizer - spring rolls. Dinner - lobster. Dessert - warm melting chocolate cake

7 - 40 is the new 20 at the Alchemy Bar.

8 - Balcony room near Camp Carnival.

favorite;

departure port, fort lauderdale, because it is close to the airport and lots of hotels near the port, and I just happen to love fort lauderdale.

ship; Carnival Liberty because I had the best cruise of my life with my mother, and everything worked like a charm from the time we left home, flight, hotel in Miami, day in Miami, cruise, and flight back home, plus the best dining room wait staff ever, and great port days....but we both loved the ship, for its pretty decor, and loved our OV stateroom, very quiet Riviera deck. My Mom who cruises mainly on Celebrity, was her first cruise on Carnival and she LOVED it!

port of call; love them all, but my favorite is Grand Cayman, because it is safe and clean, and no hassles from vendors.

excursion; swimming with the stingrays in grand Cayman. I am a water wimp and was not going to get in the water until I saw every person on the boat get in the water including an 86 year old grandma. So I got ashamed of myself for being a scaredy cat and got in, and what a great time. Loved it, was scared for a bit but will never forget it.

sea day activity. relaxing on the decks outside the lobby deck (deck 3 on conquest class ships), quiet yet close to the water and you can hear the waves. Love to read a book and just relax there, or also up on the serenity decks.

Meal in MDR, I really dont have a favorite, have had favorites over the years, but the menus change. I really have not had a bad meal in the MDR in the 5 Carnival cruises that I been on.

drink; Funship special on sailaway, goombay smash, yellow bird, mexican mama, bahama mama, long island ice tea...and gin and tonic, and port wine with the cheese plate from the mdr.

cabin type. OV, port hole, inside. and soon to be experienced interior with window to a forward deck, 4j? and some day, I will have a balcony room and be forever spoiled......

...1) Miami. Love sailing past Palm, Hibiscus and Star Islands.

...2) Breeze. That was easy. Best ship in the fleet.

...3) Aruba. Rented a jeep and toured the island ourselves. Wonderful residents!

...4) Jeep rental in Aruba. One side of island is lush green and the other rocky and rough.

...5) Serenity. Take the day and just unwind.

...6) Veal Parm. I've eaten Italian food all my life and Carnival's is the best!

...7) Bacardi Coconut Rum & Diet Coke. Thirsty Frog Red is a VERY close second.

...8) Cove Balcony. So close to the water. Great sights, sounds and smells! Love Coves!

This is fun;)

1. Favorite departure port and why- Amsterdam just because it was an awesome city and then when we got to the port for check in, it was the smoothest, easiest embarking ever.

2. Favorite carnival ship and why- right now it is the Sunshine. It is the first 2.0 ship we have done, which helps, but it also has the great food options, waterworks, and the ship is just the right size for us.

3. Favorite port of call and why- for beach fun, it has to be Half Moon Cay. For wandering and exploring, Bruges, Belgium.

4. Best excursion you've ever taken and why - World War 2 tour in Normandy, France. It was amazing to see the beaches or Normandy where the invasions occurred as well as the American cemetery and museum. I think everyone should have the opportunity to go see those sites in person.

5. Favorite sea day activity - First, the gym so I feel like I am being healthy and working off the many many calories:). Then, relaxing in the sun with the family, followed by a good dinner and some fun at the casino with DH.

6. Favorite meal in the mdr - salad, carbonara, and chocolate melting cake, however we rarely ever go, it takes too long

7. Favorite drink!- they have this yummy grapefruit mojito drink at the red frog rum bar, so good!

8. Favorite cabin type/deck...why - Honestly, our best cabin was a grand suite on Royal Carib. We did an Ocean suite on carnival on our following cruise and it felt a lot smaller. It was a while, but if memory serves, I really liked the suite we got on Glory. It was our first suite so it felt so luxurious!

2. Favorite carnival ship and why:

Breeze.

It's gorgeous! That simple.

3. Favorite port of call and why:

Antigua.

One of the most beautiful countries I've been to.

The beaches are stunning and the people are so welcoming.

4. Best excursion you've ever taken and why:

See Antigua By Sea.

6 hours of open bar, 3 different beach stops and loud music on a gorgeous catamaran.

5. Favorite sea day activity and why:

Trivia/Karaoke.

It's a toss up.

6. Favorite meal in the MDR:

Chocolate Melting Cake.

I know it's not a "meal", but I'm salivating thinking about it.

7. Favorite drink:

Miami Vice!

8. Favorite cabin type/deck and why:

Balcony. Lido Deck.

Love watching the stars at night on a private balcony, watching us sail into port and being close to all the fun on the lido.

1. Favorite departure port and why - Miami because we stay at the Bayside Holiday Inn and the morning of our cruise we get up really early and watch the ships come in from our hotel room window. It is the best "before embarkation high".

2. Favorite carnival ship and why - Any Spirit class ship for the layout. Loved the Sunshine for the Decor and upgrades.

3. Favorite port of call and why - Venice which was actually departure port but it was so beautiful and fun to explore. Also Half Moon Cay for the most amazing beach in the world.

4. Best excursion you've ever taken and why - Mayan ruins in Belize or Pompeii in Italy. I love history and walking through a place others have lived centuries earlier.

5. Favorite sea day activity..why - Love trivia to try to win a ship on a stick.

6. Favorite meal in the mdr - Not one in particular but love the spring rolls, Greek Farmer Salad, Melon & Procuitto, Onion Soup, anything with Shrimp and Warm Chocolate Melting Cake.

7. Favorite drink! - Don't have a favorite, I like many.

8. Favorite cabin type/deck...why - So far a Lido Balcony but I think that is going to change with our Freedom Cruise and an Aft Wrap Balcony. :)
