The BA sails at 3pm every Sunday and are sure this is an engine issue and not just a precaution for bad weather coming up from the south?? Did anyone confirm engine issues?

Just spoke to my friend on the boat. Down one engine. I just got off this morning had no problems on our cruise. Only in FL from 3p-8p Tuesday.

It was mentioned by melissac25 in her post about boarding the BA and they were shown a revised itinerary due to a "slight" engine problem.

My guess would be that they need some parts or maintenance staff which wouldn't get to NY in time so they have set off so as not to delay the start of the cruise and will fix it at a port.

NCL has this new bargain fare - you bring your own oars and provide back-up

propellsion in case of engine failure !

Whips; chains and cadence drums are optional.

The lucky ones will be in the squirrel cage electric generating plants in lieu of the spa workouts.

If you are three sheets to the wind NCL could use your wind to move things along.

So much malarkey for St. Patty's day - this cruise is not apt to be green overtaxing the remaining engine(s) !

The ship is only a year old - hope they bought the extended warranty.

I agree - we go next week and not hearing anything official.
