FreestyleNovice Posted October 25, 2015 Author #5351 Share Posted October 25, 2015 I have a question for those who are on this special 2-day preview cruise. Is The Haven open to anyone onboard the ship to walk through and tour? Or is this 2-day cruise no different than a normal cruise in that respect... with only people staying within The Haven having access? Also, are the folks on the 2-day preview cruise cruising for free? Or did you have to pay for your accommodations just like on a normal cruise? As far as I saw no acces. There are some stateroom types open for display but of yet I only found inside room 14403, all the way fwd.
FreestyleNovice Posted October 25, 2015 Author #5352 Share Posted October 25, 2015 Thank you Thank you For all the pictures and menus. Freestyle the balcony picture does look like there is a little more space than Getaway. More leg room? Def. bigger :D

Rare KeithJenner Posted October 25, 2015 #5354 Share Posted October 25, 2015 I don't think the havens ever been randomly open to just anyone who wants to walk through. That's why you need a key card. The Haven will be open next Wednesday. It is on those sort of days. Just for people to view. Not on this one though. It has been on general sale and people have paid for Haven access. gddeluca Posted October 25, 2015 #5356 Share Posted October 25, 2015 Had a look at all those beers on the menu. Lots to try out. But as a Canadian, I'm offended. Just one from home - Molsons. C'mon, surely some others are worthy.
barnacle_boy Posted October 25, 2015 #5357 Share Posted October 25, 2015 (edited) I have a question for those who are on this special 2-day preview cruise. Or is this 2-day cruise no different than a normal cruise in that respect... with only people staying within The Haven having access? Also, are the folks on the 2-day preview cruise cruising for free? Or did you have to pay for your accommodations just like on a normal cruise? This is not a 2-day preview cruise, it's a regular 2-day revenue sailing. I'll break it down for you. Oct. 23 - Oct. 25: 2-day preview Oct. 25 - Oct. 27: 2-day revenue Oct. 27 - Oct. 28: 1-day revenue Oct. 28 - Oct. 29: 1-day preview Oct. 29 - Nov. 8: 10-day transatlantic (revenue) Nov. 9 - Nov. 11: 2-day preview (and christening) Nov. 11 - Nov. 14: 3-day revenue The preview cruises are by invitation only for media, travel partners, and special guests. They are completely free, which includes cruise fare, gratuities, and onboard drinks/food. Areas of the ship (such as the Haven) are also opened up for special tours that would generally be off-limits. The revenue cruises are just like any other sailing. You pay and stay where you belong. FreestyleNovice Posted October 25, 2015 Author #5362 Share Posted October 25, 2015 Has anyone located the repelling wall still on the escape website as the "first at sea?" I am very afraid it's non existent.. I wonder what NCL reps/PCC has to say about it. When I bump into someone at Guest Services I will ask! Catnapper7 Posted October 25, 2015 #5363 Share Posted October 25, 2015 I never understood the "first rappelling wall" PR because I cruised the inaugural season of Epic and it had a climbing and rappelling wall.

Spaniel Lover Posted October 25, 2015 #5368 Share Posted October 25, 2015 @freestylenovice, could you get some pictures of the Skyline Bar? It sounds like such a great idea... having video screens that display views from famous skylines around the world, to simulate what you'd see through the windows if you were at a bar in one of those famous places. I wonder if it's as great in person as it is in concept! Also, because the Skyline Bar is located within the casino... is it horribly smokey in there? Or do they have good ventilation? MeriToT Posted October 25, 2015 #5369 Share Posted October 25, 2015 @FreestyleNovice, can you confirm that the mini-golf is no longer branded with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles? That's the impression I got from the Instagram pics, but I'm curious to see a more concrete pic. Thanks! Awesome work so far!

MeriToT Posted October 25, 2015 #5371 Share Posted October 25, 2015 Cool, thanks! I guess the Turtles' removal is the result of NCL no longer using Nick properties on board. The 80s kid in me will have to deal, lol. :)
darn88 Posted October 25, 2015 #5372 Share Posted October 25, 2015 If no one post we have 12306 on Thursdays TA and will be happy to post pics. That would be awesome!! I don't know how the one on the Escape will look, but the Disney Fantasy has one. Just google Disney Fantasy skyline lounge images to get an idea of how it looks. I thought it was ok on Disney, but not something that compelled me to stay.
hhfarmer Posted October 25, 2015 #5374 Share Posted October 25, 2015 People asked what people wanted... and that's what people are doing, asking. If no pictures are posted that is OK. If they are then great. Who is anyone to say what is good, bad, or silly. There are over 5000 posts in this topic and some are bound to ask for things more than once in error. As the first couple of cruises are preview cruises, they generally have some staterooms open to view. As well, for those who are taking and posting pictures, THANK YOU!
