NHL Playoffs

Recommended Posts

I don't care how hot it is in the Caribbean June 7-14, if the rangers make it to the finals, the sweater/jersey is coming and I'll wear it on game days. For awhile at least. Lol extra sweat equals a few more calories burned on top of my workouts to make up for the indulgences of vacation!

I'm saddened by the lack of BlackHawk love in this thread!

That being said, I'm cruising during the next round. Looking for any way to get updates.

Go Blackhawks!!!

Missing this week against the Kings while aboard Freedom of the Seas.

:(

Saddened to read of all this lack of coverage ... Is that just in the rooms, perhaps? I was hoping one of the bars might come thru, like On Air, or something in the casino.

I am a Ranger fan and we leave on freedom on Sunday. I will be sitting on my balcony with a cold drink listening to the game on my xm radio. Not as good as watching the game but better then watching a tv waiting for updates.

I think they get nbc ? If so nbc sports might cover it???? Go rangers!!

It's looking like a bigger possibility that the Rangers will make the finals *crossed fingers and toes*. If I can't see or at least get updates on the games, I will got BATTY on my June 7th Oasis sailing! I intend to purchase the unlimited internet package for one device anyway, so I have ESPN Score Center which will let me know, but OY, it will be tough without being able to watch games. I will scour every deck, every bar and have a drink at each one, bribing bartenders if necessary, to see my blueshirts play for Lord Stanley's Cup! (kidding about the bribery...... ;-) )

This past Feb we were on the Legend during the winter Olympics, and were desperate for all kinds of Olympic news, not just hockey. Nothing, nada, rien on the RCI TV. The Cruise Director said the cost of buying that programming was so astronomical it was impossible. So probably the same reason for no NHL playoffs on cruise ships.

Just for the record, I live in Ottawa (GO SENS GO) an hour and a half down the freeway from Montreal, and there is not a chance I would cheer for the Canadiens vs Rangers. The Mtl fans often take the bus to Ottawa for Sens-Canadiens games, and they are rude, insulting and vaguely threatening. If I never hear Olay, olay olay again it will be too soon. I love it when fans from other cities come to games in our rink, nice people usually, who love their team. But the Leafs and Canadiens fans behave like beery testosterone thugs.

So...let's go Rangers, let's go!

Everything I have read says no NBC.. I will check around just to be sure but if not XM will do. Good news is if they make it to the finals I should be home for most of the games.

Nope no Habs coverage last week at all, other than highlights and the score scroll along the bottom of the screen

I was on the Oasis last week and asked and they said only baseball and basketball :| I did get to see the score on the ticker every 20 mins or so for an update

Lindy

When the Leafs are in Ottawa 80% of the fans are wearing leaf jersey's....sad for the players when the home team fans are embarrassingly out numbered.

That would never happen in the ACC! ;)

There is no NHL playoff coverage on board the ships. The sports come from ESPN (ABC) and all the Stanley Cup Playoffs are being covered by NBC. The best that you can do is catch a score on ESPN2.WE were on for 2 weeks and not a hockey game in any ship venue or in the cabins.

They will definitely show the Stanley Cup finals. The ESPN2 on the ship is not the same ESPN2 that we have at home. It is really "ESPN International" and they show all the major sporting events.
