RoxnDox Posted April 15, 2014 #1 Share Posted April 15, 2014 (edited) First time cruise coming up in June (Golden to AK for our 30th anniv), and I have a somewhat silly question about the Personalizer - when it asks you if you want robes for each passenger, is that an extra-cost item or just a "should we provide one" question? The personalizer wasn't clear, but since there are robes in the Gifts section, thought I might ask the experts around here :) Jim Edited April 15, 2014 by RoxnDox
chrysalis Posted April 15, 2014 #2 Share Posted April 15, 2014 no cost....and there is not one in the cabin just ask your steward.
sept10dsm Posted April 15, 2014 #3 Share Posted April 15, 2014 There is no cost if you just use for the cruise. Back in the day, they were in the cabin upon arrival, now it is by request. You can purchase them as well.
RickEk Posted April 15, 2014 #4 Share Posted April 15, 2014 And these requested robes are the "waffle" type. Not the luxurious terry cloth ones...

RickEk Posted April 15, 2014 #6 Share Posted April 15, 2014 You call them luxurious; I call them HEAVY! ;) They are absolutely heavy!... but I like the feeling of being swaddled. :)
goodie2shoes Posted April 15, 2014 #7 Share Posted April 15, 2014 I'm sure I would like them if they thought about us "plus size" women. I can't get them closed, so what's the use of having them take up closet space? I'm glad they won't be in the cabin unless I request it in the future. OCruisers Posted April 15, 2014 #11 Share Posted April 15, 2014 Remember .... If the robes aren't there, just ask your room steward! We actually prefer the Waffle ones because they aren't so big and heavy. :) LuLu ~~~
we3peas Posted April 15, 2014 #12 Share Posted April 15, 2014 If you are anything bigger than a medium sized female they will bring the robes from the spa. It takes longer so don't expect that you will have them on embarkation day. My dh's took 2 days to get since he is an XL guy. My dd's and mine were there within a couple of hours. hillslife Posted April 15, 2014 #14 Share Posted April 15, 2014 Just went in my personalizer to order a robe, but can't locate the section..just the ones to purchase? Anyone know where the request section is on the new personalizer. I know I can wit til on board, but just got some distilled water for my hubby's Cpap, thought I would do the robe too. I would like the "full figure" one..and usually only find the waffle which gapes open:(, but on the bright side..it is thin enough to read the patter through! haha Thanks Dolores
Rare Kinkacruiser Posted April 15, 2014 #15 Share Posted April 15, 2014 I didn't find any reference to robes in either "My Princess" or the Personaliser .
Pia1913 Posted April 15, 2014 #16 Share Posted April 15, 2014 They took those options out. Now you just ask your steward. Dolores, hahaha :D
arkieinwisconsin Posted April 15, 2014 #17 Share Posted April 15, 2014 If you go to the Princess web site under Booked Passenger tab, then My Booking, robe selection is under passenger check-in tab towards bottom of page in the On Board Preferences section. RoxnDox Posted April 15, 2014 Author #18 Share Posted April 15, 2014 Under the "Passenger Check-in" tab, scroll down near the bottom and there's a "Robe in your Cabin" section under "Onboard Preferences" :-) Jim
hillslife Posted April 16, 2014 #19 Share Posted April 16, 2014 Great, thanks all! Found it:p I must have checked it when I registered months ago and didn't remember it. No place to ask for the " Grande" size, but I will fix that on day one!
jrzebird Posted April 16, 2014 #20 Share Posted April 16, 2014 I got the big, fluffy robe when I did the UST (Ultimate Ship's Tour) last year. I love it and feel all warm and loved when I wear it. I want to do the UST this year, on the Royal, but I'm not sure what to do with 2 big fluffy robes! LOL. Maureen
Pia1913 Posted April 16, 2014 #21 Share Posted April 16, 2014 It doesn't matter whether or not you check the option, because 99% of the time there will not be a robe in your cabin. They take the robes to the laundry on turnaround day and reissue them again that night. Or the next morning.
