Good Morning Chris,

Hello all....honestly I hate Nassau, wished they put another port in its place....the only thing I like there is the Fish Fry, its wonderful last month we went to Twin Brothers and had our best meal of the cruise. (it was a Carnival cruise) Unfortunately we won't be able to go there again because the Allure leaves Nassau at 2pm no time to have lunch there but then again, leaving Nassau at 2pm is like having another sea day which we love!

If you want something fun to do in Nassau try the Tru Bahamian Food Tour. You get to walk all over and have great food! http://trubahamianfoodtours.com

Chris, enjoy your day in Nassau. If we're there a full day we go to the Sheridan for the day. Nice beach and use of their pools. Casino next door too. But the last 2 times there, we left to early so just walked around town and visited the Hilton in town to take a look. The Sheridan property is nicer. I wish the Allure docked till at least 5 pm. 2 pm is way to early.

I also can't wait until Baha Mar opens its a gorgeous city! I saw glimpses of it last month the pools are amazing, they winding everywhere outside, the entire place is going to blow out anything we know of. Atlantis sure is old and outdated it will be nice having something new and beautiful to go to. Baha Mar will be the place that I go to when in Nassau after December this year when she will open.

The fedoras are easy too. You can get them at Party City for about $7.00 each and they travel well. You can crush them and they pop right back. We stuff our boas in a gallon ziplock baggie and push all the air out. They become very flat and travel very well in their little bags!

Wendy,

You are a doll ! Thanks so much.

I noticed that you have a cruise coming up in June and your comment is pink sand. Are you going to Bermuda? I am intrigued by Bermuda but have never been there. I worry about travel during the hurricane season and rough water.

I would have to travel on a different cruise line since Princess doesn't cruise there.

The lime situation seems to be resolved. Bar staff tells me they have plenty of limes

Glad to hear this, what is a Guava Rita without limes!! I still have my glass from last cruise - think they offer free refills?!?!?:p

Loving the updates!! Do plan on doing the WiFi, now I will know it is not me if I have trouble - THANKS!!

Can't wait for more.

Emmy: The guys on the webcam did a great job zooming in with such clarity. Sometimes I have watched previously and not that clear. Great webcam time on the Pink Boas and Fedoras!!!! I know you must have been very proud of them. Can only imagine the group on our Quantum sailing.

Morning Karen ~ indeed I was proud and thankful to PTZtv webcam gentlemen Lou and David for giving Pink Boa Cruisers some good cam time.

Well next up will be a large pink boa sail away on Vision of the Seas to Bermuda in June. We get to wave twice once as she leaves Port Everglades and once when she arrives/leaves on the Port Bermuda webcam

It was a fun sail away to watch...lots of big smiles

Hi Patty ~ I emailed and the Sheraton is now the Melia on Cable Beach. They still have the day pass and Wendy and I will be heading there in June when we are on the Vision to Bermuda. We are in Nassau until midnight. A stop at the Dak Shack is in the plans too for Nassau which is right across from the Melia resort

May I horn in here. Bermuda is wonderful. Pink sand is real---peachy pink. Cruising out of New Jersey is great since you don't have to fly. We drive or bus from MA. We go on Celebrity. But now RCCL is there too. We usually go in April or May. Not too cool, and it is so warm in Bermuda.

Can you share what the significance behind The Pink Boa Cruisers is? There seems to be a bunch of you!

Chris, loving the review. I was away from the computer all day yesterday and when I logged on late last night I had 10 pages to catch up on! I won't let work interfere with my reading ever again!

Good morning ~ I am sure Chris when he gets back on can add to this information and I hope he will :)

Many of us have been wearing pink boas on our cruises for some time. The pink boa has become a symbol of our cruising friendships and an unique way of finding each other on the ship.

It is simply about friendship, fun and feathers. It really has become a sail away tradition now especially with the exposure because of the PTZtv webcams. The men wear pink fedoras as you saw Chris and his friends, pink polo/tshirt at sail away and on formal evenings a pink vest, bow tie and those fedoras look pretty cool with the dark suit. Often the men will get more comments about their fedora hats than the woman with the pink boas.

You will see the ladies with their boas at the Meet and Mingle, formal nights, 70's party in the promenade, Prohibition party and any other time they feel they want a 'pink boa moment'

Thanks for asking :) anyone can join in on this fun tradition:)

Well as a lover of all things pink, love the idea of putting faces on people from CC. Not sure I can get a pink fedora on the "real hockey players don't wear pink" LOL!! But I would love to try.

He has a red shirt with white tie/garters for Prohibition Pub Night, hmm maybe the will mysteriously get thrown in with a reddish towel:p

Is it exclusive to RCCL? I don't think I have ever seen it on any other line.

I am back from my rather short but still enjoyable time in Nassau. Gambee I got a couple of more shots of your dream vessel but it'll take a while to get them on here.... the wifi continues to be dreadfully slow when it comes to uploading photos

Yes, we're on that sailing. First time with a smaller ship going out of FLL.

Slow WiFi is frustrating especially when you've laid a lot out for an unlimited package.
