Haven Guest Inclusions

Good Morning All! We have booked our Nov 2015 Cruisetour to Rome and are now trying to find out the inclusions for those who have booked villas or suites on the Haven levels. We don't want to spend our entire cruise figuring things out but would rather have a full understanding prior to our awesome NCL adventure! Does anyone know if there is a list of inclusions or exclusions that pertain to Haven guests? Many Thanks!!

Hi. On the NCL website you get a list of Haven inclusions. Here is a quick run down. Priority boarding and disembarkation, a butler to handle things for your room, snacks in the afternoon, room service, a concierge that handles show and dinner reservations, There is a separate place to eat breakfast or lunch, some ships have their own pool area.

We were in a Haven suite on the Epic last year, and when we "boarded" the ship together with the concierge and some other Haven suite guests, the concierge gave us a detailed tour of the Haven area and explained everything.

We were in a Haven suite on the Epic last year, and when we "boarded" the ship together with the concierge and some other Haven suite guests, the concierge gave us a detailed tour of the Haven area and explained everything.

 

 

HI. What time do you suggest I get to the Miami port to be sure to get that lecture. Also, how important do you think that part is. I am just wondering if we feel like sleeping in should we, or is that first part important?

We usually get to any cruiseport around 11.00 AM, just to avoid the larger crowds and lines. But when you are in a suite, it doesn't really matter so just sleep in and go to the port when you are ready. :) They do the tour with every group of Haven suite guests, the concierge escort you on board the ship and takes you directly to the Haven (showing you which elevator to take where only Haven guests have access with their key cards), and after that little tour you have easy access to some lunch at the Haven restaurant. Taking the tour is not necessary but actually kind of practical, especially since the Haven area on the Epic is quite large.

It's been a long time since I put the list out there, and now seems as good a time as any. Disclaimer: I haven't updated it in several months, so my apologies in advance if there have been any changes. I promise to review it carefully and make any changes to it later tonight.

 

Suite categories are designated by the letter “S,” followed by a number (Haven suites) or letter (Non-Haven suites). Stateroom categories not beginning with the letter S do not receive perks.

 

• Haven suites have access to the Haven regardless of where they are situated on the ship. The Haven has its own pool, hot tub, sauna, and sundeck. Some have their own restaurant and bar within the Haven complex. Some Haven's also have a retractable roof over the central area. Haven configuration varies based on ship class/generation

 

• All suites have complimentary access to a private restaurant for breakfast and lunch.

 

• All suites have Butler and Concierge service. The Concierge can assist with dining reservations, shore excursion booking and guidance in many other areas. He or she also provides delivery of invitations and information to the suite, and performs all escorts on and off the ship. The Butler provides delivery of daily amenities, meals en suite, replenishes coffee and other supplies, and oversees the maintenance of the suite. Gratuity should be based upon services provided.

 

• All suites receive invitations to a special cocktail reception with the Captain and other Officers.

 

• All suites receive priority embarkation {including express through security and check-in, as well as a private lounge with various amenities to enjoy while awaiting escort aboard} and disembarkation {which includes a private area to gather, and escort off the ship & directly to the VIP Luggage area and Porter Services}, as well as priority tendering.

 

• All suites receive one bottle of Sparkling Wine, one large bottle of water, a bowl of fresh fruit (replenished upon consumption) and a fresh flower arrangement in their suite. (Note: Garden Villas, Deluxe Owner's Suites and Owner's Suites receive Champagne instead of Sparkling Wine)

 

• Garden Villa's receive 6 bottles of alcohol with unlimited mixers, soda and water, while Deluxe Owner's Suites and Owner's Suites each receive 3 bottles of alcohol with unlimited mixers, soda and water. All other categories do not receive complimentary liquor.

 

• All suites are provided with a variety of Elemis brand toiletries.

 

• All suites are equipped with a Coffee/Cappuccino/Espresso Machine (Most are Lavazza pod-style machines), however the Sun has Lavazza machines in the Owner’s Suites, but drip-style coffee brewers in all other suites (these suites cannot accommodate these devices).

 

• All suites have access to the Pre-Cruise Concierge service, which helps to coordinate your individual selections on pillow types, coffee and tea preferences, and a variety of special requests.

 

• All suites (except the SG and SJ suites on Deck 12 of the Star and some suites on the Sun) have a portable phone, which can be used throughout the ship.

 

• All suites are equipped with the "Bliss Bed" which truly lives up to its name, fitted with upgraded bedding. Also provided with upgraded bathrobes, as well as slippers.

 

• All suites have an expanded Room Service menu. Essentially, order whatever you want, and if it is available on the ship you will have it.

 

• Some suites have access to a reserved section of the theater on some ships, based upon stateroom category, as well as other factors, which can vary from sailing to sailing.

Since you are going on the BA, the actual embarkation may vary a bit from what others posted. When we went we were escorted on as a group, lined up in the Haven bar area around the concierge desk, she asked our room numbers, and then gave about a 5 minute talk then we were released to go on our own.

 

We were told rooms would be ready at noon and we could sit in the bar and they would bring sliders and fries. There wasn't a tour of any areas or showing anything special but it didn't matter to us as it isn't too hard to figure out.

This was also my experience on the Breakaway last July. We were escorted to the Haven complex, where the concierge gave what seemed to be a very brief overview of the Haven etc. No tour. What did strike me however, is that after the overview, we were essentially left to our own devices. There was no mention of having lunch in the Haven restaurant; we ended up in the Great Outdoors for lunch.

 

In past cruises on the Gem and Dawn in suites, we were escorted to Cagney's for lunch. It was fine...even good...but I found myself wondering after the fact if the Haven restaurant wasn't serving lunch upon embarkation or if they were trying to steer people away from the restaurant.

 

It was a great cruise though!!! :)

Haven restaurant was open for us the first day. Don't recall if she mentioned it - the whole thing was more like an attendance taking event.

We Will be on the Epic, October 12th from Barca to Rome to Barca. We are also new to NCL and The Haven. I Will keep you posted!

• Haven suites have access to the Haven regardless of where they are situated on the ship. The Haven has its own pool, hot tub, sauna, and sundeck. Some have their own restaurant and bar within the Haven complex. Some Haven's also have a retractable roof over the central area. Haven configuration varies based on ship class/generation the Haven has its own pool with two jacuzzis. There is a sauna and steam room in the men's and women's dressing room. There is a private gym area with two spa massage/treatment rooms. No retractable roof.

 

• All suites have complimentary access to a private restaurant for breakfast and lunch. the Epic Club has a separate club area and bar. The Haven restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner in a private dining room. There is also an outside grill with bar for less formal dining. The Posh Club on Deck 18 and 19 provides a private adults only sun deck and bar for Havens guests. That's three dedicated bars in the Haven complex.

 

• All suites have Butler and Concierge service. The Concierge can assist with dining reservations, shore excursion booking and guidance in many other areas. He or she also provides delivery of invitations and information to the suite, and performs all escorts on and off the ship. The Butler provides delivery of daily amenities, meals en suite, replenishes coffee and other supplies, and oversees the maintenance of the suite. Gratuity should be based upon services provided. the concierge desk is staffed 8 am to 8 pm

 

• All suites receive invitations to a special cocktail reception with the Captain and other Officers.

 

• All suites receive priority embarkation {including express through security and check-in, as well as a private lounge with various amenities to enjoy while awaiting escort aboard} and disembarkation {which includes a private area to gather, and escort off the ship & directly to the VIP Luggage area and Porter Services}, as well as priority tendering. Note: this depends on the port

• All suites have an expanded Room Service menu. Essentially, order whatever you want, and if it is available on the ship you will have it. and your butler will serve it on a white tablecloth in your room

 

• Some suites have access to a reserved section of the theater on some ships, based upon stateroom category, as well as other factors, which can vary from sailing to sailing. for the main production shows Percilla and Burn the Floor, there are separate seats (front and on the left side) set aside for Havens guests. The Concierge will help you jump to the front of the line and escort you to the Havens seats - or you can grab any available seat if it is better

 

Also, if you have tickets to Cirque Dreams, the Concierge will sneak you in the back door and have you seated before the main doors open for general seating.

They do the tour with every group of Haven suite guests, the concierge escort you on board the ship and takes you directly to the Haven (showing you which elevator to take where only Haven guests have access with their key cards

 

Unless it has changed recently the only elevator with special Haven access on the Epic is the elevator from the pooldeck to the Haven lounge and Posh.
