Does anyone know the price of multi bottle wine packages you can purchase on Carnival?

Do they give you slips to turn in to the waiter or bartender?

My mom and I did this on our cruise on Ecstasy last summer. It was 5 bottles that we got at the MDR each night of our cruise, and I believe the price was $150.

Prices will vary and you have a choice of wear to drink them.

You can pre purchases by calling bon voyage also. You can buy a 3 bottle wine package for 5 day or shorter cruises. Here is the 5 bottle package.

 

 

Bottom level is $131, next level is $153, top level is $193. Prices recently went up. If you order through Bon Voyage, you don't have to select the actual wines till you get on board.

If you want a receipt you need to ask them to email you one.

The above prices were in effect when I cruised last month on the Carnival Paradise. I got the first level package and the wines were very good. I like the reds. The Bogle Merlot, Twisted Zinfandel, Black Swan Siraz and the Smokin Loon Cab were all good and went just fine with the MDR meals. As far as the white, the Barefoot Chardonnay was very good.

 

The prices mentioned in another reply include the 15% tip. If you purchase through Bon Voyage, ask if they add for tax. If they do then wait until you are on the ship while at sea and they do add for the tip but do not charge tax. If you buy the wine package while still in port then they will add for tax so by the package at sea.

 

Enjoy the wines. I always get the wine package and I have never been disappointed.:cool:

We buy through Bon Voyage and the above prices are what we payed

 

You get a perforated paper with 5 slips on it and

you tear 1 off and give it to the waiter.

All the choices of wine are printed on the back. (kinda cool)

 

The only issue we have had is:

 

They say you can get a bottle at any bar that sells wine, which is true'

But not all the bars carry all the varieties in the package.

The only place we could find all the wines was in the main dining room.

We wanted to watch a movie under the stars and have a bottle but could not find onewe liked included in the package.

 

The next night we ordered one for dinner and one to go, Problem solved.

We loved the wine package. Bought the 5-bottle package and with the two bottles we brought on board had enough for the week. After we dropped off our things in our cabin we went back to the lobby/atrium and selected the package we wanted and made reservations for the steakhouse. We only were charged the corkage fee for one of the two bottles, I think our waiter felt bad that he didn't manage to get me a serving of Bitter n Blanc as he had promised.

 

Wondering what we will do this year as we are on an 8-day cruise!

LOL, that is funny...I am just picturing myself looking like a lush, dragging 5 bottles of wine back to my room....;):D

 

I would consider room service, however the wine package price is better, also for this next cruise, I am not even sure that I want to eat in the dining room every night. So I would never get to finish them.

You could take an open bottle from the dining room to back to your cabin, or they will hold it for another night in the dining room.

We were able to find wine from our package at most bars. however they would only have 1 or 2 choices.

And not the one's we prefer. If I'm paying $25 for a $5 bottle of wine at least I would prefer the one I like.

 

When I first got the list my DW and I went to total wine and bought all 10 bottles from the cheapest list. Total was $62 for all 10, Now we are paying $131 for 5. I'm not complaining It is what it is. I wish I could have a captive audience with that kind of mark up in my business.

We expect to be sailing on the Pride. Will these packages be sold at a sort of "display" in the atrium on Embarkation Day -- or are they available only in advance, from corporate HQ, by phone (from a "Bon Voyage" service)?

 

Recently, we called what we think was "Bon Voyage," and we explained that we want to purchase a wine package on board (after having had a chance to read the labels on the bottles). We were then told that wine packages are available only by phone, in advance. We feel sure that no one was lying to us (intentional deception), but we suspect that the person in "Bon Voyage" was misinformed.

 

Can anyone (especially someone who has cruised on the Pride) confirm that we would be able to purchase the same wine packages on board (and for the same prices)?

We're sailing next week for a short 5 night cruise. Yesterday I called the Bon Voyage and purchased the deluxe wine package ( 3 bottles) for $97. There is a wine we like in that group and the price for a single bottle thru BV was $42.50 so this is a savings of 25%, includes the 15% service charge. Our credit card has already been charged a flat charge of $97.00.
