We have 22 cruises with Carnival with three(all Premier Casino) booked before December. Never received a free cruise.

We have, however, taken advantage of the Premier Casino offers. We really enjoy the cruise and appreciate the invite.

(Cry baby here)....BUT, I really would like a free cruise!

If you played enough to get free drinks, they are not losing money on you. Enjoy your cruise. Win big. Next time.......you will probably get a bigger offer. And it is not :"free" It is good business to have folks who enjoy gambling a lot on their cruises. Happy Sails.

You are so correct and I am glad Carnival has finally figured that out. I haven't changed my style of play in over 25 years. I used to go on cruises and between my wife and I we would have $600.00 sail and sign bills in drinks alone and not receive any other perks, comps, whatever. Now we receive very lucrative cash offers, free cruises, free steakhouse meals, never pay for drinks in the casino and our last two cruises have been "free".

We had stopped cruising around three years ago and then Carnival kept sending us offers that got better and better until we decided to give them another chance, and we are glad we did.

I never could figure out why they would rather have me spend/lose my money in a land based casino rather than on their ship. It just makes good business sense to get people like us on their ship.

If it wasn't for these offers we wouldn't cruise Carnival at all. We would vacation some place where gamblers are given perks such as Vegas or Biloxi.

What many people fail to realize is that the gamblers and drinkers are the ones that keep the prices cheap for the rest of you.

I "hear" you....I guess if you have to "lose" alot of $$$ to them in order to be given a "Freebie", it's not really FREE! However, this Elite Freebie is NOT the only kind of FREE cruise CCL has been giving out....we know many folks who have received "THE" letter in the mail for FREE cruises who do not gamble nor spend alot of $$ on board (and we are NOT one of them unfortunately).

I would like to see if any Diamond or Platinum cruisers who don't gamble have received a free cruise. I would be surprised if they have. My bet is the ones that hardly cruise get the free offers, the others they know they have you hooked.

I know for sure that I'm not getting one if it's based on onboard spending. We don't gamble a dime, and our S&S account usually consists of a souvenir magnetic fridge clip.

Oh, if there's a steakhouse, we'll "splurge" but even with that, normally our total bill doesn't exceed $100 for the week. :o

Actually, let me take that back. I was sort of offered a "free" cruise about 8 years ago I was offered a three day weekend cruise if I paid taxes and port fees. Unfourtantly that cruise happened to be during a week long cruise I had already booked

We are part of the never receive a deal crowd. My dad who cruises once every 2 years gets casino offers all the time. My adult son who hasn't cruised in over 2 years also receives the casino offers often. We are diamond members who always have at least one future cruise booked so they don't have to entice us back. It does get annoying getting the mail and finding their offers but nothing for us. Carnival knows as we do, we are not going to stop cruising. Yes, we are frequent casino players also. I wish one of them would receive a free cruise offer - I would make them take me...

If I didn't frequent Cruise Critic, I would've never known that these free cruises even existed. So I'm guessing that the vast majority of Carnival cruisers don't have a clue that this is going on, and consequently, it's only a very minuscule number of people that are feeling the sting.

I have many coworkers who are rabidly loyal Carnival cruisers and they have never heard of Cruise Critic.

This is very true--thousands and thousands of people cruise on carnival every single week. Only an extremely small fraction of a percentage of them are on this message board. Most people don't know that they are eligible for any offers --or know that others are getting them.

I only found out about mine when someone posted here a few weeks ago to check the offers in vifp area. (I found about about last years free cruise when I was looking to book a future cruise and coincidentally signed on the same day it was offered in my vifp area)

Carnival knows how to make money and keep "afloat", otherwise they would be out of business. They are not angering any more people by offering these free cruises (there are just as many angry people, if not more by the price of drinks or the boat rocking etc) I think people get very egocentric here forget that we are just a grain of sand in a quarry in the whole scheme of things.

:eek:Anyone else get this invitation by email. It is a sweet deal, free balcony cabin, pick up and drop off at airport,, free drinks, shore excursion , private brunch, sundowner cocktails with Executive Host team. There was three choices to choose from Carnival Breeze July 5, Freedom Sept 6 or Sunshine Oct 4. All 8 days cruises, we picked the Sunshine in October, so excited for this cruise. A big THANKS TO CARNIVAL.:) You can tell my signature that I am a die hard Carnival fan. Count down begins 105 sleeps to vacation.

The invitation we got is for OS with free airport pickup, drinks, shore excursion, and embarkation lunch, etc… It limited to first 30 suites only. The booking is relatively easy through email and the host will takes care the rest of it.

The well kept secret in the cruise industry is “X” offer the most generous comp deal to their Blue Chip members. Cash rebate + any free cruise.

Exactly. Marketing promos are often sent out to people that have not visited within a certain amount of time or whose play has declined over a certain period.

No need to entice the regulars.

If you don't mind could you post the email addy or the phone number you call. I am trying to get in touch with Carnivals Players Club, not the Ocean Players Club. We had a miscommunication on our last cruise and I would like to discuss it with Carlos Lopez at Carnivals Players Club.

Curious, to be offered a free OS how much do you spend in the Casino on your Cruises? Also, how often do you cruise Carnival?

I also got the "elite" offer....about a week after I booked the "pack & play" offer for Aug. So we're going in Aug, coming home for 10 days and then headed off on the Freedom Sept 6th. Carnival's casino division had really ticked me off with the lower offers I'd been getting and I'd jumped ship to go NCL. I'm back for these 2 cruises and then I'll probably be back to NCL :o

Does anyone know if the complimentary car service (pickup and dropoff) is included for the Freedom cruise in Fort Lauderdale, as the offer only states Miami Intl. airport? Also, the Premier offers always stated free drinks while playing in the casino and this offer states complimentary drinks. Does anyone know if that means you are getting the Cheers program?

We're staying at a Ft Lauderdale hotel and I was told we'd get pickup from the hotel to the port
