jufrasin Posted June 25, 2014 #1 Share Posted June 25, 2014 Due to board the emerald princess on the 28th june in southampton and me and th OH both have $75 onboard credit each. Can we ask that both credits be applied to just my stateroom account as we pay by seperate credit cards and he wont use his credit as he doesnt spend anything onboard? We dont want to end up with $75 going unused :(
-Lew- Posted June 25, 2014 #2 Share Posted June 25, 2014 If you plan to leave the auto-tips in place, your OBCs can be used to offset those charges. Lew
jufrasin Posted June 25, 2014 Author #3 Share Posted June 25, 2014 Already getting free gratuities so that is not something it would be going towards. Thanks anyway.
hawkeyetlse Posted June 25, 2014 #4 Share Posted June 25, 2014 I think it would be easier to work this out privately between the two of you, i.e. charge some of your onboard purchases to his account and pay him back.
paul929207 Posted June 25, 2014 #5 Share Posted June 25, 2014 If he does not spend any money then have the two accounts charged to you credit card. They will net the two final balances and bill you for that amount
skynight Posted June 25, 2014 #6 Share Posted June 25, 2014 US$75 will be used up very quickly. The Hotel Charge (autotip) will use it up before the first week is over. The Hotel Charge is US$11.50pp/day ($12.00 for mini and full suites) or US$161 to $168, approx. GBP100, per person for the voyage. Bar drinks run about $9each, a coffee card is around $31, if you take any tours they will be over $75 each. I can't see in my mind how you will have any OBC remaining at the end of the voyage. onefine89 Posted June 25, 2014 #7 Share Posted June 25, 2014 As mentioned above, the $75 OBC will be used up with the auto-gratuity alone. And I'm sure the will be some other incidentals on each card that will take care of the OBC:)
Thrak Posted June 25, 2014 #8 Share Posted June 25, 2014 These days any remaining OBC is refunded so it won't go to waste.

Good luck. Not necessary. The OBC can be refunded at customer desk before you get off the ship. I also believe they will combine the 2 OBCs. Just a few more reasons to love Princess and to stay loyal. Edited June 26, 2014 by dorisis

Good luck. It IS a problem if you want to play in the casino afterwards. They will notice on the system that you downloaded money then immediately cashed out, then they block your card. PunkiC Posted June 26, 2014 #15 Share Posted June 26, 2014 Tell him to treat himself to something special. Better yet, he could treat you to something special. :) Have a specialty dinner and a bottle of wine. That will take care of the $75.
pablo222 Posted June 27, 2014 #16 Share Posted June 27, 2014 (edited) blkspy is an Elite member. Don't question his statement... Lew There are plenty of 'elite members' here making inaccurate statements. Mr. blkapy said he went to the 'casino'. If he used a slot bank, it is true once. If you don't then play, they block your card. If you go to the cage, they charge you 3% See the section on "Cash Advances" here: http://www.princess.com/downloads/pdf/other/Cruise_Answer_Book.pdf Edited June 27, 2014 by pablo222
