B2B?? Would Carnival Tell??

We're on a B2B in January 2015. So far, no one on our CruiseCritic boards (I'm on both dates) are doing the same B2B that we are.

 

I wish there was a way to find out if anyone else is doing the same B2B. I know we'll all be escorted off the ship after the first cruise and then escorted back on the ship to get our next week's room keys. It would be fun to meet and see whomever throughout both cruises.

 

Does anyone have any ideas on how I could find out?

Why do you want to meet the other B2Bs? We've done B2Bs and would not care to have that shared without our knowledge.

 

That being said, Carnival did take a picture of all the B2Bs on turn-around day and provided several glasses of Champagne. Later we had a bottle and strawberries delivered to our room.

Oh.....maybe have a drink together or just chat. We've made many friends cruising from both Cruise Critic and dinner mates and still keep in touch with them. It's fun to meet new people.

Would you want Carnival to share your info? Once you had their names, then what? Do you randomly call all the Jane and John smiths you can find? Post their names here in hopes they might see it? I'd be pissed if carnival shared my name with another passenger.

It can be fun to meet new people. I get it.

 

But some folks do not want to meet anybody. They just want to be left alone to do their own thing and relax.

 

Like others have said...I would not be a happy sailor if Carnival gave my name to anybody for any reason. This is private information.

The closer you get to the cruise dates, the more people use the Roll Calls. We had a small spike of users on ours about 3 months ago, now we are getting more. By November, you may meet someone doing a B2B.

Also, the number of B2B'ers is small, so its like finding a needle in a stack of needles.

We did a Meet & Greet and had a blast! We made several new friends that my DW and I talk to on FB all the time. We are even meeting up with 3 of the couples for our next cruise in 40-something days. 3 others were booked, but live had them backing out.

 

Good luck, though. Either way, I bet you have a great cruise.

Why do you only want to meet b2b people? Someone cruising only one leg isn't worthy of your company? This is all just very strange.

I don't think it's strange at all. It didn't sound like the OP wanted to meet ONLY people on the B2B, just others that may be doing it. We love to meet people on the ship and would love to meet a few that are doing b2b with us. We are doing a b2b on our next cruise and have not had anyone join the roll calls that is also doing a b2b, would be fun to know, like the OP wants to know, but I guess we will have to wait to see. :) If the other b2b'ers don't join CC or whatever we won't meet them on line before hand. But yeah, Carnival won't share that info. And I wouldn't want them sharing my info, only when I chose to share it.

There are other cruise forum web sites you can go to to join other roll calls, just do a search, I'm not sure it's within the rules for me to mention them here. I did check out the Carnival Connections for my particular cruise and the roll call there is pretty dead.

I'm just saying it would be nice to meet at the beginning of the first leg instead of the picture at the end of the first leg. That way, IF they too, wanted to see a familiar face throughout the cruise, compare notes, or have a drink.....they could.

I got your point even if some others didn't... all you were asking for as I saw it was if anyone knew of an alternate source like CC to seek out fellow cruisers, who might also be doing a B2B... some people obviously thought there was more to your request. Don't worry about them!

CC has Roll Calls so cruisers have the option to chat and potentially do a meet n greet, so I don't think that its odd or questionable that OP is looking for a B2B roll call or something that would serve that same function.

 

Maybe you could post another thread with the date and ship you are sailing on and that you are open to chatting with other B2B people from that cruise.

Carnival should not release this information. I believe they would open themselves up to a lawsuit if they did. I know I do not want any information, including my name, sailing date and ship, released to anyone, without my permission.

 

There are times we love being with a group but there are other times we just want to do our own thing.

 

The best you can do is put out a Roll Call here, and on other sites, for the B2B and see if anyone responds.

It seems that anymore you aren't able to say anything on these boards without being bashed or made to feel that way.....I think the old saying if you don't have anything nice (and productive should be added to) to say then shut the f*** up...I'm sorry I mean than you shouldn't say anything at all.

 

I use to love this board but rarely come here anymore except for my roll calls because of people and their attitudes of perfection...I hope you meet some wonderful people on your cruise and I hope you have a nice one...one day I hope to do a b2b too.

The title of your post is: "Would Carnival Tell". That and your post indicate that you want to find out about other people sailing B2B on the same cruises you are. I answered both parts of your question.

 

It would be nice too if you thought more about your titles and postings rather than bemoan, roll eyes, or feel you are being attacked by others who answer your question. Then you wonder why people are "mean" when you respond as you did to my posting.

No, Carnival wouldn't tell and they certainly shouldn't. ;)

 

But roll-calls will get busier as sail time gets closer and some b2bers may show up.
