Thanks for the wonderful review and photos of enhanced Oasis. We are sailing at the end of January having booked (last May!) the accessible Loft Suite so we can take our disabled son (28) to celebrate our daughter's 30th. Very excited about it although I am really hoping that the Suite Sundeck is accessible in some other way.

If we want to enjoy this lovely looking exclusive area, it could be a bit of a challenge getting our son and his wheelchair up those steps! Now maybe that's why I do bootcamp each week!

"I find it odd that the Crown Loft Suites have two full bathrooms and that neither features a soaking tub/Jacuzzi"

That's ok with me!
We sailed on the SAPPHIRE PRINCESS in a penthouse suite with a Jacuzzi. I filled the tub up, got in, and turned on the jets. A huge wad of (red) hair shot out of one of the nozzles. I got out of the tub in record time. No more cruise ship or hotel Jacuzzis for me!

Besides, the huge shower (there are pictures which show 3 people in them) with the dual heads MORE than makes up for the lack of tub....for me anyway. Edited by DCT61

Not much to report for yesterday - Too much eating, drinking and sleeping

We woke up this morning thinking it would be another gray day

Good news / Bad news - CNN is back, but the 2 top stories are about Ebola hitting NYC and a crazy guy attacked 4 cops with a hatchet a few blocks from our homes. Maybe we were better off with no news

bobbyd, we are in 1720 the week after you. We have stayed in this 1720 five other times, and we always try to return to it. You will love the cabin and balcony is the best. Nothing like dinner from the dining room on the balcony, while the sun sets.

We didn't get invites. Our first day notes from concierges told us to go sign up at the loyalty desk for the tours. So we did. Lower right corner.

Can you report on the status of the bananas?

I recently read* of a disastrous cruise where the bananas were in a bowl next to the ketchup and mayo. Has the world come to this? Is Oasis safe or in the danger zone?

FYI - We left 2 guys from Russia in Vigo. I wonder what how they are making out...[/QUOTE]

I was wondering who we left behind. Such a shame, missing most of a cruise, and on top of that, not having your belongings and having to spend more money to get home. Edited by janeyzee

Several folks missed our departure from Stockholm, and had to find their own way to Helsinki, our next port of call, back in Summer of 2013. Oops! The HOHO bus was not dependable in Stockholm!

Ken....Thx so much for the reports!!!!! So glad y'all are having a great time!!! Wish we were there to hang out with y'all though!!!! Now you know why we have a rule never to turn the TV on while on the ship. We only turn it on for sporting events. LOL No news is good news to us. LOL

Hugs to Ken and Paulette and Emmy and Rick from Mr Ski and me.

Keep the posts coming!!!

Andrew - I am very excited that the price dropped and I got to jump from a GS to the SkyLoft! That balcony is HUGE (from the pics I have seen)! My partner and I are planning a sail away cocktail hour for 20 people on that balcony! CANT WAIT!
