That depends on when you get to the port, whether your in a suite, whether a guest of CAS, whether you are handicapped.....

It won't be on your docs. After you check in at the pier they will give you a numbered card....that will be your boarding group

Not necessarily.

 

You can get there early and still get a higher boarding group if there are more gold/platinum, wedding party, VIP's, CAS etc.

Basically yes.

 

But as stated in another reply, there are other groups that might have priority. For example officially Latitudes Gold/Platinum members only have priority check-in - meaning their own check-in line - but not priority boarding, but still they have been reported to sometimes get lower boarding group numbers than others checking in at the same time.

I have casinos at sea on my boarding pass, but no tier level, because its our free 7* cruise through Caesars.. does this qualify for priority boarding?

You will not know until you are checked in and they assign you a boarding group.
