So exited that I was able to purchase the UBP for our upcoming cruise on the Sky. We love having all of our expenses covered before the cruise and we don't have to wait in line to purchase once onboard.

just a word of advice-take along a printed copy of your UBP confirmation-our last cruise there were several people having difficulty getting their stickers as weren't on the list at the desk

 

there should be vouchers in your stateroom but not much help if you board early and staterooms not yet available

 

also check your onboard account before final day as the package hadn't been applied properly and we were faced with a bill with each drink being individually charged for

 

this took ages to sort out as the girl on the guest services desk kept insisting we hadn't pre paid!

In the end handed over all our documentation to her to prove we weren't lying!

kind of put a downer after a great cruise

My PCC said that our key card would have the UBP already on it but I keep reading about stickers. The UBP is part of the latest promotion. Taking the Gem and would like to know what is the correct thing before we get charged for beverages.

This is my experience.

I have bought the UBP and every ship does it differently and no one really knows how it is done; certainly not the guest services people. Even some of the bar servers had no idea on how it works. My advice, if you pre-pay bring your receipt with you. NCL still does not have this down yet; I was sent all over the ship to get answers.

Just booked a Nov 21st 2016 4 day Porthole on the Sky, and they included UBP for the 2 of us. May not be drunk all day/all night, but you will never see me without a drink in my hand! Specialty coffee in the morning with my breakfast....Sundeck bar with an adult beverage in hand...poolside with an adult beverage in hand....casino with an adult beverage in hand.

My Personal whatever Cruise person told me to see the Beverage Manage when we arrive to get a sticker on my card to use at Great Stirrup Cay...Laying on the beach with free adult beverages....

I sound like a Spring Breaker, but I am 63, but young at heart!

Can anyone direct me to a list of what the UBP includes? Is it the same for every cruise? We are considering it for the Star next month.

 

All alcoholic drinks under $10 (before gratuity) are included. This is pretty much everything on board. There will be a few things (Louis XIII, some high end wines, etc) that are not included but they will be hard to find. Anything basic from Patron, Grey Goose, Etc are all included. There is not longer a "list" of included vs excluded. They went to a much more simple dollar limit. Any list you find with included vs excluded liquor is outdated from before they made this switch.

On the right hand corner of your confirmation paper under your reservation number it should state CHOB, also on your amenity confirmation. Log into MY NCL go to vacation summary and right under the cruise itinerary it should say Amenity Details - Adult Beverage Package

Can anybody give me a hint on where to look to show that the UBP was part of our reservation (we got it as a promo, didn't actually purchase it)?

I found mine under day one of itinerary click that day one tab and below it will show, nowhere else on my NCL account did it show up.
