good question. Cunard was originally the White Star Line? I think?

 

HAL is pretty old - not sure how old Cunard is.

 

In any case, it's a nice sight. white truck :)

not very many viewers on the webcam. hope it isn't on automatic and we see our cruisers flashlights at least. getting some dark already.

Cunard is 175 years old this year. They where operating back during the US Civil War.

I think Cunard's been around since 1839, they bought out White Star much later. I think they are advertising their 150th anniversary deals this (or next?) year.

 

I believe you are right, Ann, about them buying out White Star.

My recollection is that England essentially forced Cunard to do so; I don't think it was in Cunard's plans.
