Wow ...was just wondering which machines....slots are on Getaway ..could you please check for me
I really like Cleopatra and Cleopatra 2,treasures of Troy ,treasures of Egypt,gold fish,lady bugs,spartacus ,lil red ,etc etc etc

Woyld you be kind enough to name some of the penny machines available

Nassau is a dump, especially with the terminal closed for renovation & the vendors right at the gate, the hair braiding & all the "licensed" guides with the offers - neatly dressed, most of them. We took a 5 minute walk, picked up a few cheap magnets & did a 180 turn to go back.

With your unlimited satellite internet plan, those speed results you took earlier look reasonable & good, far better than the older technologies & by the minutes plan - do you have an rough idea of about how much data you've used up so far and/or for the length of this sailing afterward ? No need to estimate usage now - the plan I took 2 weeks ago on the Breakway had a usage meter to track, even though I switched between notebook PC and smartphones.

We were facing the port in Nassau, but nothing exciting to report.

I used just over 4.5gb of data. It's nice that we could just run any app updates as they came along.

The wine selection seemed about the same as usual. I didn't notice anything much different from previous cruises.

Can't answer your other questions I'm afraid. We got Viva Vino and the free wines with our meals, so didn't buy any glasses or individual bottles.

I wonder if most people with unlimited packages stay logged in all the time. Could this be one of the reasons the internet is slower?

Thanks for all the info. I have to say the new RS menu is a lot better than the old one. For such a small delivery charge per order I'd much rather pay this and have the extra choices. The old standard menu was really boring.

We were on this same cruise. We used the iconcierge app to text and it mainly worked great. There were a few when connection had been lost and it only said sent rather than delivered.

I thought the room service menu was not good and there was no way I was paying the extra charge, especially for what was on offer! HAL and Celebrity room service menus are much better.

We ate in The free options - Savor, Taste, Tropicana and had no wait any of these options at a variety of times. Food was nice but desserts not great.

I seem to have gone on longer than I thought here so I will write my own review for those who are interested.

Hi Keith!

I just finished my weeklong stay on the Getaway! It was amazing but as I was leaving I realized I never got my pressed penny from the machine at O'Sheehan's. I'm a collector and am so disappointed that I forgot to go back. It was on the other side where the games are and I didn't realize it until I was disembarking and by then it was too late. Any chance you could get one and mail it to me when you return? It's $1 I think and I could mail you the money. I would be so very grateful!

PS-If you eat at Savor tell Garry and Janie (hosts) that I said hi! The food was ok and the service wasn't great most nights but Garry and Janie were the reasons I came back every night! Love them!

I was wondering if you could tell me out of the MDRs which one of them is considered the "casual" MDR where you are allowed to wear shorts?

One more question . . . were there two latitudes receptions - the full one and the one for Silver and above? Do you remember what day?

 

We're trying to plan dinners and shows. On our last cruise, I managed to make dinner reservations during the second latitudes reception and the Captain's VIP party - gotta get all the free drinks I can. :)
