Hello Larry,

As always, thank you for visiting with us, and sharing your insights. It's always great to hear from Azamara's fearless leader ! We appreciate that you engage with your guests, and that Azamara is listening.

It was a heck of a day on the forum. I believe that most of us (myself included) are very excited about what's ahead for Journey and Quest - and any exciting surprises to come. We eagerly look forward to further updates.

Congratulations to You, and everyone at Azamara, on your efforts to make your beautiful Azamara Journey & Quest even better. All the very best, and thanks again !

Thanks Larry for your post. Next year I will be taking my first Azamara cruise (the second one after Quest's refit) and I am so excited to be able to follow the roll out of the planned enhancements. I look forward to the next installment :D

Thank you Larry,

We love your ships and can't wait to see the upgrades but they won't have been done before our 25 Aug cruise so we will just have to wait.

Loosing the outside area of windows for breakfast or a late afternoon drink is a negative but gaining an Asian restaurant is a plus, as is gaining an outside poolside restaurant if I have read it carefully. Improvements to the other public areas, also sound interesting as are the upgrades to the staterooms.

One little or large piece of advice that I would like to give is; go out and buy another R Class ship, upgrade it to the same standard and offer us even more exotic locations to visit. I say that because my wife and I are now having trouble to find somewhere we haven't been with your current schedules during the period that we are able to travel.

We absolutely love Azamara and want to stay on board for ever, but one can't keep going around in circles.

Just do it, buy another R Class.

Thank you, Larry.

I will say that I am one of the many that was saddened to learn the Sunset Bar will become an Asian restaurant. We spent many wonderful hours in that location on our Med sailings. There has been a lot of discussion about the loss of the Sunset Bar.

I do hope in the future that ACC will have a Sicily only cruise. There are none to be found as of now.

Thanks for your comments Larry.

We are looking forward to our first b/b on the Journey after the dry dock. We are avid Oceania cruisers and are delighted about the addition of an Asian restaurant as well as all other improvements. Personally we would still like to know if the Owners Suites will get walk in showers in place of the awkward tub currently in the bathrooms.

Looking forward to more news and pictures as time goes on.

I just wanted to add my agreement to the above comment . On the Dry Dock thread there are many others who like us are deeply dissaopinted with the loss of the Sunset bar area for the provision of the new specialty restaurant. Please listen to our collective voices and consider alternative venues for the new venture.

We and our friends are very disappointed with the prospect of losing the Windows outside dining for dinner. The food is really great (vastly improved over the last couple of years), the ambiance brilliant, and on many cruises we have eaten here every night.

We will certainly not be paying a surcharge to eat Asian and the Poolside Grill area will not compensate.

Oh well, Seabourn have a great back deck dining experience......

Please don't change the sunset outdoor seating. We ate here every night as we loved eating in the warm night air of the Med. I'm not a fan of Asian cuisine but even if it was a speciality restaurant that I enjoyed, I wouldn't eat there every night as I prefer variety. Please don't change something that is perfect!

Thank you, Larry. I am going to join the chorus of those who wish the Sunset bar area remain open for casual dining for all. My husband and I have no problem with the addition of a new specialty restaurant, just the location. Some have suggested closing half of the Windows Cafe for this new venue; others have suggested alternating its menu with that of Prime C. Both sound like reasonable alternatives; that way those wishing to eat outside on the aft deck can still choose from entrees provided by the new Chef's Grill. Using the pool area for this does not seem like a reasonable solution.

Azamara is our cruise "home." Having sailed on many lines and with over 35 cruises under our belts, we feel there is none better than Azamara. We have been particularly impressed by the way you make yourself available to your customers (we had the pleasure of meeting you on the Journey last June (WWII sailing), and even enjoyed a shore excursion with you and your family.

Thank you for listening.

We agree. Don't upset the Sunset Bar. As for an Asian restaurant, we have so many where we live. That certainly won't be something new and exciting. The other problem with most pan-Asian food is that it is so terribly salty and overrun with sauces. Not to our liking but that's just our opinion. Still would love to see the piano back in the Mosiac. Also, more comfortable furniture in the Casino bar and also in the Owner's suite. The new seating in the Owner's suite is not user friendly. My husband is tall and I am short and it doesn't work for either of us.

Yes, the food is horribly salty. I'm betting there are a number of ACC pax who have sodium dietary restrictions.

As you are listening to us, then I'm very happy that we will get harpists back, no art auctions and Sunset Bar will remain as is. Given the sincerity of your post, I look forward to these popular aspects being implemented. After all, the dry-dock refit won't happen for a while yet and there's plenty of time to change unpopular plans.

Thanks again for listening.
