Just curious...what was your impression of the level of dress on Imagination's formal nights? I know there's nothing that wrecks a cruise faster than someone on a 3000-person cruise who doesn't dress like you feel they should. 😁

As someone totally new to cruising this ironic spoof review is one of the most heart warming and hilarious posts I have read on here.

 

I was getting semi nervous about the moaning, groaning "its not like it used to be brigade" who seem to believe that their exclusive club has been invaded by people like my family :-(

When we were on the Imagination of the Seas last month on our 12 night "Never leave port" cruise, my wife wasn't too keen on ironing the captain's laundry. I told her that we shouldn't complain. But what really got me furious was that one evening in the MDR my knife and fork weren't exactly parallel. I carried out extensive checks and discovered that they were indeed 3 degrees out of line. Not only that, but they refused to implement my suggestion that the waiter should be soundly flogged as a lesson to the others. I e-mailed the CEO demanding a full refund, + damages, + 12 free cruises, + a senior management job on the executive board. Haven't had a reply yet, but will share on here when I do. ;)

When I saw this, I thought, Oh No, another Carnival poster that can't find their way to the right boards. Then I read a little further and saw the comment about a balcony, and thought, They are really lost because the Imagination does not have balcony cabins.

About an 11 year old post of mine I ran across from the past. Changed the names and added a bunch of exclamation marks but seems just as relevant as it was in 2004. LOL

I actually had to stay away from the Celebrity board yesterday evening because of all the posts about the Caribbean itinerary changes. I'm not upset at all about my change, in fact I'm pretty excited and I've already planned what we're going to do. However some people, especially the ones who are missing Bonaie, are beyond incensed, and they are posting repeatedly. I can't even count the number of different threads all saying essentially the same thing. Someone even posted what appears to be the private (non-business) e-mail address of the CEO!:( I understand people being upset and needing to vent, but thread after thread seems to be overkill. I hate to break it to them, but the horse is dead and repeatedly kicking it isn't going to make it get up.:p

well of all the problems I have heard of, these are CERTAINLY the worst. Based on your review, I should cancel both of my cruises and RUN to another cruise line because no one else would have these kinds of problems!

I sailed that ship last year. My steward made me TWO frog towels that week and not ONE monkey. I cried for THREE weeks when I got home.

As much as I like to think cruise critic had less complaining in the past ... All I have to do is look up old threads to see that was not the case

 

What I find amusing is how my original post is sort of believable up to a point even though it is so ridiculous. It kind of shows that people expect to see ridiculous complaints.

 

In my opinion, my funniest post ever was from a couple of years ago when I was asking if I could get a 500 watt bulb to install in my balcony light to make sure no sharks would get me at night. It went on for awhile until the mods deleted it. (Because too many people did not get that it was a joke and were taking it as a serious inquiry)
