Unreal phone call from our TA

That's what I wanted to know...what cabin category did you originally have? That must be an incredibly hard secret to keep, but I'd bet anything that she will be absolutely thrilled. I know I would be! Hope you have the trip of a lifetime. ;)

We originally booked a B6 (extended balcony) they are sold out of that cat for our sailing.

I had an upgrade call right before we left on a cruise, and upgraded to a suite. I was able to keep it a secret from my wife, and I have to tell you, she was really surprised (usually I can't keep a secret!)

I tried to keep it a secret until we were in the cabin, but it's tough ... NCL treats suite guests different from check in on. We had met a couple who were in a suite, so I told her we were tagging along when they put us in the special lounge, and when they escorted us on the ship early. She didn't realize we were in a suite until she saw the bathroom (double sinks, separate shower, bathtub with TV over it). It was a great surprise!

If you can, keep it a secret!

great surprise...

hope she doesn't log in to her ncl account to find out early...that happened to a friend of mine

All bases are covered.

1) made up a new gmail account - all emails from NCL would go there.

2) the only phone number NCL has is my direct office line

3) my NCL snail mail comes to my office.

4) my wife never would log into the NCL site. She always leaves travel plans up to me.

5) we usually go to Miami right after thanksgiving. So, there is no surprise there.

6) the only people who know about it are very good at keeping secrets.[emoji6]

Congratulations to you. I am on the same cruise and I hope I get an offer like that. I will move out of my mini-suite and up to the Haven for the group;)

Don't make too much noise, we don't want to be disturbed by those in steerage[emoji4]

Congratulations on the upgrade and the 20 years.:)

It looks like you've got all bases covered unless #6 goes awry.;)

Have a wonderful time and come back and tell us what happens.

Woohoo! Congrats ! What a wonderful surprise....I could never hold out that long. I might physically burst. We both stink at keeping " secrets" from each other...

We are leaving on the Pearl tomorrow and just this week I snagged an upsell to an aft Penthouse suite. I sooo wanted to keep it a surprise. My Cheshire Cat grin gave me away in less than 15 minutes.. Gotta work on my poker face. (Lol...I did keep it from the kids and she blew that one- the look on their faces when they heard we upgraded and heard all the perks was pretty darn funny)

We originally had a large balcony and a week before sailing we were able to make an affordable upgrade to a spa suite. You all will just love it. I only went two days but my wife went a little more. We just got back from the Getaway this afternoon. I will be posting a review later, but the trip was fantastic. A quick tip, make dinner reservations before going if you do any specialty dining. We had 4,600 guests on our cruise and dining was pretty much booked solid.
