Unreal phone call from our TA

We will be sailing on the Escape Nov 28 celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary.

My TA calls to tell me they have a large group on this sailing. And somehow we were booked into one of the blocks of rooms allocated for this group. Now there are no more cabins in our category.

I told my TA to let me know what they can do for us. 15 min later she calls me back and offers us a Haven spa suite at no additional charge.[emoji2][emoji16][emoji12][emoji2]

WOW this should be a great anniversary cruise. And my wife has no idea as this is a surprise trip.

Our first cruise on NCL was in the Haven and it's kept us coming back over and over again. We LOVE the Spa Suites - the Spa is FANTASTIC! We went every single day! So happy for you and your wife! Have a wonderful anniversary!

Here is some stuff you should know:

When you arrive at the pier, after security, go to the VIP area to get your cruise cards. They will then either escort you to the VIP waiting room or escort you onto the ship. If it is before 1pm, you will be escorted to the Haven via an employee elevator that is right next to the concierge's desk. You will be able to have cocktails and lunch in the Haven or you can go to your cabin when it is ready around 1pm. In your cabin, there will be a welcome aboard bottle of sparkling wine, a welcome aboard flower arrangement, Elemis toiletries, spa robes in the closet, a spa tub in the room with bath salts. You will have one of the best cabin stewards onboard and a butler. Butler takes room service orders and also if you want special pillows - such as foam pillows, ask the butler. Cabin steward does the cleaning as usual. Concierge makes dining and show reservations and will help you with any question or problem you might have. However, it is best to make your dining reservations prior to the cruise for the restaurants you REALLY want to eat at as the packages offered are causing them to sell out.

Through the concierge you can do early disembarkation on the final morning. Have breakfast that day in the Haven Restaurant (you can leave your luggage in the concierge area) and the concierge will escort you off the ship before any of the other guests leave around 7:15am. This means you can take an earlier flight home.

The butler and concierge are not included in your prepaid tips and I usually tip the cabin steward more, so do bring money for that.

Have a simply marvelous time!

Seems like the least they could do.

But enjoy your bonus.

Never thought they would of offered the Haven, I was thinking an aft balcony.

I was so shocked. But, pleasnetly surprised. My wife is going to be so happy. She deserves it.

I don't get how the room wouldn't be available. When you were booked (and many agents do put people in group space if they have it) you should've had the room already. My guess is someone else in that group wanted your room so they had to move you and there was nothing comparible left. It's wonderful they could get you in the Haven.

To be honest, whatever really happened doesn't make a difference.

No way would I complain. This will never happen again. When my TA called me back she told me "she never heard of this happening, with this kind of upgrade" I want to tell my wife so bad, don't want to give this surprise away. We never could have afford this category. So happy

What kind of room were you booked into originally? Sounds like your TA made a mistake in your booking. Glad they are making it right.

That's what I wanted to know...what cabin category did you originally have? That must be an incredibly hard secret to keep, but I'd bet anything that she will be absolutely thrilled. I know I would be! Hope you have the trip of a lifetime. ;)
