They had the ice show twice ... we got to go to the first one they had (Day 2) no tickets needed -- we just walked right in.

 

It was a good show .. but the one last year on Explorer was better.

No real Broadway show, and no tickets for shows. Just three different production shows.

I'm not a gambler but my partner spent hours in the casino ... didn't win much other than a T-shirt and some souvenir crap LOL!

 

We did the Premium Package for drinks ... highly recommended. Had no problem being served ... bar servers all over the pool deck each day, but did notice sometimes at the actual bars, just one server .. still no long waits at all.

 

We MORE than got our moneys worth outta that bar pkg ... Ketel One, Grey Goose, Capt Morgan ... good brands too -- never went over what was included.

 

We will always do the drink pkg from now on ...

We were on INDY two weeks before the OP. Yes, you "could" get in the ice show without tickets HOWEVER you must wait in line with the others that do not have tickets until 5 minutes before the show begins.

 

If you want to see the show, I suggest you get the tickets just in case, you never know.

The production shows that they have on Indy are about as far away as you can get from Broadway and still be on planet Earth.

The internet pkg we got was $40.00 and it covered 2 days (the last 2 days) .. but we just used it in the Internet café since we didn't bring our laptops or Ipads, etc

 

 

BUT ! .... The Internet SUCKS on board ... it is SO slow -- you literally sit there watching line by line come up on your screen ... after the rolling and spinning and waiting .. and waiting

 

Unles you really need it .... skip this ... its a real waste.

 

Why is ship internet so slow? On JetBlue to and from, it was just as fast as at home.

In San Juan, we took the Old and New City Tour (RC tour) ... about 3.5 hrs .. drove thru all of old and new areas ... and stopped for well over an hour (too long) at the big fort .. great tour guide named Alex tho --- comfy bus -- great tour !

 

 

In St Maarten, we took the Bernards Tours tour #2 ... went all over the island even to Maho Beach to watch the planes landing overhead .. 90 min beach stop, shopping stop in Marigot on the French side ... awesome tour guide named DJ ...

 

In St Kitts we did the Historical and Rum Tasting tour (RC tour).. not a full island tour .. just Basseterre and about 90 mins at a beautiful old Plantation house ... tasted (and bought!) some delicious rums too ... highly recommended ... gorgeous place ... tho didn't see as much of the island as we would have liked. .. next time!

I imagine Independence will get upgraded internet during its drydock like Freedom did. I really couldnt tell much difference in Freedoms internet than what I have at home. It was pretty fast I thought!

Yes -- they do have $1.00 Wheel Of Fortunes and he played those. He would never play a $5.00 one cuz he;s too cheap ... LOL!

This was the one offered by the ship .. ..they call it "Old and New San Juan City Tour " (not the walking one .. its the one by bus.) It was $45.00 per person ... highly recommended .. we had an awesome tour guide and very comfortable bus used.
