Boarding the Dawn in Boston

I apologize, I searched the threads and can't find the information I saw before. This will be our first time boarding at the Black Falcon Terminal as suite guests. Someone mentioned that there is a certain place we're supposed to go to board the ship. Could someone please explain to me where this is in relation to where we usually go?

Thanks!

Just follow the crowd to the escalator .:)

Just park your car at Black Falcon and go across the street to your waiting cruise ship. You can't possibly miss it. A porter will take your luggage and you will follow the crowd to the boardwalk. No problems whatsoever, almost too easy. Going out of Boston is the best especially with no airports, etc. to deal with if you live in MA. I always get so excited to see the big ship waiting for me at the pier. Have a great trip!

Once you give your luggage to the porters, you will take the escalator located at the left end of the terminal. The area is clearly marked. When you reach the top, you will be greeted by attendants who will inquire your status and lead you to the area you need to go. Everyone there is extremely helpful. Enjoy your cruise!

Just looking for clarification, since I've never sailed out of Boston before and will be doing so this October. I was told you should drop one of your group off at the pier with the bags, and then go park. But if there are porters available at the parking garage, I might as well skip that step, yes?

The porters are not at the garage, they are at the pier which is very close to the garage. It's an easy walk, even with luggage.........

Thanks. I thought someone had mentioned that there was another place to go in through for suite guests instead of standing the line for the escalator.

Look for an NCL rep @ the doors a little ways before the escalator .

It is easier if you can drop someone off with your luggage at the pier and then park your car in the garage. The problem is they park the cruisers on the fifth level(at the top!). You then can walk your luggage down five flights of stairs or take the elevator. Depending on how many of your fellow shipmates have shown up at the same time, the line for the elevator can be humongous! (as the wait). Happy sailing!

This is where you pull up and where the porters will take your luggage for you.

As you can see in the pictures, there's plenty of signage telling you where to go with arrows.

Once inside, plenty of other signs as to where to check in.

I've boarded for suites several times in Boston and never saw anybody downstairs. Once you get up the escalator into the main room, the suite line is the first line you get to -- there will be somebody there with a clipboard controlling who can get in the line. Just tell her the room numbers and she'll escort you up and notify one of the facilitators at the front of the suite line (if there's nobody ahead of you). When a "teller" (for lack of a better word) is free that person will send you next in line. You'll do the photo and credit card thing there, but then be escorted back to the suite seating area to get your actual room keys and meet the concierge.

There are some snacks there but nothing terribly exotic, and there are just hard chairs like everybody else has. You're cordoned off but sitting in the same open terminal, so while it's "exclusive" it's not exactly fancy!

Depending on when you arrive, you may not even sit down, but will be greeted, given your room keys and some paperwork and a brief intro by the concierge, and then escorted to your suite or Cagney's.

Enjoy!
