Red frog pub

The snacks are really good, but not the best feature by far of the red frog pub.

Was great to have a lounge where cover band played. On conquest lately lounge has become smoking room and the cover band plays on promenade deck outside casino in worst possible place to hear music.

That is interesting, that certainly would impact it for us as well. We love listening to the cover bands in the Oceans Plaza area (on the ships that have them).

When we sailed Legend (sister ship) in August, we had complimentary Frog Balls (spicy fried beans) and crispy plantain strips.

While I am not sure, I thought that on ships where the "added" the RFP, there was an issue of no kitchen to cook these.

Hmmmm...ok, my bad. Some ships with the RFP, the Breeze being one, has additional bar food items, or Pub Grub available for a cost, like coconut shrimp, conch fritters, sliders..etc so something I might consider a "snack food", but more substantle than a bowl of crunchy snacks.

There is no kitchen in the RFP on Legend so these were the only snacks available.

Come to think of it, the Frog Balls were warm, but the plantain strips were not. Maybe there was a microwave to warm up the Frog Balls? There were no other snack options than these two. They were delicious, btw.

I think that is the case. On the Sunshine and Pride where they added the RFB, no Pub Grub, but on the Breeze, and next year on the Vista, they will have the facility to prepare the items on the Pub Grub menu.

On the Sunshine they did have pigeon peas and plaintain chips for bar snacks in the Pub. It did not have the hot food options as there is no kitchen facility near the Pub on the Sunshine.

I'm telling you, we had Frog Balls and plantains on Legend.

Slow down dude, never said they didn't. Was just agreeing with what Jimbo said and what I've experienced that, ships that had the RFP added didn't have the full "Pub Grub"menu, which apparently requires a kitchen nearby. Other ships certainly could have other offerings, which is good.

I think I read somewhere there was potato chips to purchase....also "cover" band? There's a charge? I didn't realize that.

Cover band means they play a variety of songs from popular artists, no charge :)
