Breakaway to Bermuda Live August 30th

Have a great time. We loved the Breakaway......

 

Thanks champagne, she is high on our list as well!

 

Thinking about sailing down the Hudson had us discussing which embarkation port we liked the best and we came up with the following rankings:

 

1) Manhattan NY - Short commute, love the view sailing down the Hudson on nice afternoons.

 

2)Miami - Beautiful sail away in usually beautiful weather and a nice pre-cruise stay.

 

3)Fort Lauderdale - Similar to Miami, and we love when they blow the horn at the condos by the beach.

 

4) Cape Liberty- similar to NY but loses points for shorter sail down the hudson and not having the excitement of being in NY. That last point is a positive as well as it is easier to get in and out of than Manhattan.

 

5) Norfolk Virgina. - Sailed one time on the Grandeur of the Seas and had a blast with our pre-cruise stay, but being a 6 hour drive was a negative.

 

6) Philadelphia - Sail my first ever cruise in 2004 to Bermuda on the old Celebrity Horizon from Philly. Living 10 Minutes away was awesome and even though it is at the bottom of the list it will always be my first embarkation port.

 

7)Baltimore - Have not sailed from here yet but we are looking at doing that soon. (Saw Radios many sailing and want to give it a try).

 

So maybe something for a different thread but feel free to share your thoughts on your favorites as the pre-cruise portion of this report continues as we head up out shortly.

A question probably not for this board but was wondering if you could find out for me if they have the NFL network. My husband & I will be sailing on the November 8th cruise to Bahamas & Florida. We are interested in watching football & there is a game on Thursday night. Thanks in advance & looking forward to your live report. Have a great vacation & Happy Anniversary!!

Thanks nydrogers! I will check about the nfl network but I do not remember it before only espn international but they usually have national games televised as last thanksgiving we watch all the games that day.

I see parking has gone up a fair amount since the last time I parked at the terminal (2011). I think it was $210 for the week then.

Yes, it is definitely something to keep in mind as close to $300 is not peanuts, but I guess expected in NY.

Thank you. We are from NY & would like to watch the Jet game. By us it is on NFL network & another station. Just want my husband to be able to watch it. Again have a great time.

Here is what is on the tv lineup and the one sports channel seems like before international. But I do know the bars show some sports that are nationally televised but not sure if a particular game would be on.
