Chairsin Posted September 13, 2015 #1 Share Posted September 13, 2015 I have friends I am currently with in Istanbul who want to know who the key crew members. Anyone currently on Odyssey who can pass this info on to me?
Emperor Norton Posted September 14, 2015 #2 Share Posted September 14, 2015 I believe I know of a bartender on the ship but I'm guessing the person asking is looking more towards Capt, CD and the like (of which I have no idea).
apuleius Posted September 14, 2015 #3 Share Posted September 14, 2015 On the august 29 sailing ex venice the captain was Stig and CD David E.

Chairsin Posted September 14, 2015 Author #6 Share Posted September 14, 2015 Thanks -- how strange (and sad) it will be on Sat as they, Seabourn newbies board and we don't. But we will be heading off to an adventure in Morocco so can't complain. Any word on the Hotel Manager?

Chairsin Posted September 14, 2015 Author #8 Share Posted September 14, 2015 Never hurts to get to know the bartender well -- speaking of which is Nelson still around? I know his wonderful protege Sonia was moving to a big ship.
Tillylovesseabourn Posted September 14, 2015 #9 Share Posted September 14, 2015 Hotel manager was Daniel P last month.

cruisr Posted September 14, 2015 #12 Share Posted September 14, 2015 On the august 29 sailing ex venice the captain was Stig and CD David E. Love David E. he is the longest serving Seabourn employee. he started with them on Day 1 Love Nelson. I remember him from Royal Viking Lines and he really found his niche at Sky Bar on the triplets. Rare Catlover54 Posted September 15, 2015 #13 Share Posted September 15, 2015 CD right now is Heather Clancy. She sometimes makes strange jokes at the evening events that fall a bit flat (at least to me, e.g., I do not "get" them or see the humor), but I am new to SB so maybe this is normal. Chairsin Posted September 15, 2015 Author #14 Share Posted September 15, 2015 Ah but Heather does have the voice of an angel. Thanks all to the updated info.
Emperor Norton Posted September 15, 2015 #15 Share Posted September 15, 2015 Never hurts to get to know the bartender well -- speaking of which is Nelson still around? I know his wonderful protege Sonia was moving to a big ship. The last I'd heard was on the Legends final TA and it came from someone other than Nelson so grain (or shaker of salt). Nelson had moved over to the bigger ships and was insistent that he get the Skybar. He was told that the equivalent of the little sisters Skybar was actually the Pool bar. He steadfastly wanted the Skybar and was then disappointed when it wasn't the same as the Skybar on the little sisters. So apparently the Pool bar is high traffic and the Skybar not so much. jenidallas Posted September 15, 2015 #16 Share Posted September 15, 2015 (edited) So apparently the Pool bar is high traffic and the Skybar not so much. I never see anyone up at the Skybar but the Pool Bar stays consistently busy so I think that's a good observation. It is a nice perch for Sail Away or deck parties but it's otherwise too isolated for me. Edited September 15, 2015 by jenidallas
stamfordian Posted September 21, 2015 #17 Share Posted September 21, 2015 We heard in August that Eddie Mika (Restaurant Manager on final Legend cruises) and his partner Mariana (Asst Maitre d') had moved to Odyssey. Anybody who has been, or is, on board able to confirm?

On the bigger ships it seems the Pool bar supplants the sky bar.
