I completed the on line check in but can't seem to find a way to order luggage tags Can someone please point me in the right direction Thank you for your help Go to the online check in page and on the first page scroll down, if they are available they will be there. They usually aren't available until 49 days out or less. Mine were available to order at exactly 49 days and on the same day I got the email that the edocs were ready. jelayne Posted September 24, 2015 #3 Share Posted September 24, 2015 Between 29 and 49 days before your cruise the EDocs will appear on the on-line check-in page. Once the edoc's are there you will also find a link to order your luggage tags. They come pretty quick, 7-10 days.
Trainer Posted September 24, 2015 #4 Share Posted September 24, 2015 (edited) There is a limited number of days before you sail to order. I believe it is about 50 days out. I know that for my Nov.20 cruise I can order my tags on Sept. 28. When they are available for order there will be a selection on the check-in page. Click that and fill in the address and other info. They come very quickly. Enjoy. Edited September 24, 2015 by Trainer
az_tchr Posted September 25, 2015 #5 Share Posted September 25, 2015 The luggage tags also are really and truly not needed. Simply take your Xpress Pass and hand it to the porter when you arrive at the port. They will put tags on your bags and they will arrive at your room. Many people love them, but not needed. Also I always put my name both inside and outside on a piece of tape in addition to a luggage tag. The tags - both preorder and at the curb - tear easily and do sometimes get detached. alcpa1 Posted September 25, 2015 #6 Share Posted September 25, 2015 I don't bother ordering them anymore. On one of my cruises in '13 and another in '14 they never arrived so I just have the porters handle it. It only takes a few minutes. The less I have to keep track of the better. Have a great cruise! Beanb41 Posted September 25, 2015 #7 Share Posted September 25, 2015 There is a sample of a luggage tag for your cabin in your E - Docs. You can print off as many as you require. To make them more sturdy and watertight check out the attached You tube Clip.
Mr. Click Posted September 25, 2015 #8 Share Posted September 25, 2015 I like the luggage tags because when we bring cases of water or soda on board it is easy to just stick those tags on the outside of the cases.
az_tchr Posted September 25, 2015 #9 Share Posted September 25, 2015 Are you suggesting the ones the porters have will not stick on the soda boxes? They used a bit of sticky tape and my diet cokes arrived just fine in my cabin.
Mr. Click Posted September 25, 2015 #10 Share Posted September 25, 2015 The ones I have seen the porters use were they type that had to attach to a suitcase handle.. since Celebrity is happy to provide them for free I feel more comfortable having them ready to stick on myself and not have to think twice whether or not a porter has tape handy. Rufferto Posted September 25, 2015 #11 Share Posted September 25, 2015 Luggage tags are only available to Canadian and US mailing addresses. If you booked airfare with ChoiceAir, then there may be additional delays in getting your edocs, and therefore your luggage tags.
mafig Posted September 25, 2015 #12 Share Posted September 25, 2015 Any difference if yu've booked with a TA or not? Do you still get notified on the website if booked through a TA or does the TA get the message. I've been on Celebrity before, but I just can't remember the process.:o

The luggage tags provided at the pier can be used either way. It depends on how much of the backing you want to peel off. We get our luggage tags at the pier, and peel off all of the backing when we put them on a case of water or soda but for suitcases, we peel off only a small part of the backing on one end, slip the tag through the suitcase handle, and press the ends together. Either way, no additional tape is needed. Luggage tags are provided at the pier for everyone who wants them, irrespective of nationality, so that is one less thing we need to bother about in advance.
