I shot a bunch of photos yesterday and will never get them all uploaded but I will do what I can.

We were moving slowly up to the pier yesterday when word of another ship backing in spread across the pool deck.

It was the Anthem and it was the first time I had ever seen one of this new class.

When we debarked later on the wind was really blowing through the "canyon" created by the two ships.

The shopping area immediately ashore at St Kitts was nicely laid out and extensive.

People on ship sponsored tours were met and marched off to their buses.

Once you entered the shopping area there were plenty of tour operators available offering all kinds of activities.

The Shops offered the usual "stuff" available on any island.

We did not see a "Senior Frogs" or a "Margaritaville"

Judith spent several weeks her about 20 years ago but just about everything she remembers is gone.

Back them growing Sugar Cane and producing sugar was the main industry on the island but the cane industry is long gone today. The sugar cane plant was located next to the power plant and after the cane juice was squeezed out of the cane, the left over was moved to the power plant where it was burned to power the electrical generators.

I did find, by accident, a small portion of the old narrow gauge railroad that was used to haul the cane to the power plant.

There were two RCI sponsored train rides.

KT08SR - Caribbean Scenic Rail & Sail ($154)

KT05SR - Caribbean Scenic Railway Tout ($109.75)

Both were sold out so we didn't go...

We did the one without the sail portion and enjoyed the minibus tour to the train. We did it twice and we had the same driver both times. He was an older gentleman and was very informative.

The tours were probably sold out due to both ships being in port. We were lucky in August in that we were the only ship in port that day!

Jim , while trying to find your location last night I came upon this web page : sea-scanner .com (sea-scanner dot com ). It lists in port in Roseau ( Dominica) / Lesser Antilles, today :

MS Serenade 2,110 PAX

MS Britannia 3,647 PAX

MS Silver Sea 382 PAX

Total in port 6,139 PAX

Britannia must be a mistake . I really like this web page. The info for our cruise on Serenade next summer is up to date concerning a port change.

Who is the HD? F&B? Thx.

The Hotel Director is Adriana Tibaudo. Sorry, can't recall F&B manager.

Yes, we found this too. My brother in law couldn't get enough of them last week. :)
