We liked Chops much more than Giovanni's and I am going to try to talk Judith into going back there.

I don't remember the last time you said you were at a chops, but that Black Peppered Bacon is a wonderful appetizer that first had this past April. (didn't do a chops in 2014) I hesitate recommending it for people with health issues, but it was so good I can't wait till May 2nd to have it again.

Here we are on the pier in Tortilla.

We definitely needed the walkers to make the trip to the terminal and back.

There is a lot of construction going on and it is clear that the Island is building a shopping area similar to the one built at Falmouth. I expect it to be finished in a year or two.

I bought a "Christmas Ornament" that I liked and when we get home I will convert it to a refrigerator magnet.

I guess you are back on board now so it is too late to recommend that you take a taxi to see the "painted wall". There is a road there with miles and miles of a wall that is all a hand painted mural. Very interesting. When we were taking a tour there we actually got to meet one of the artists who was walking along the road.

Oh well. Maybe you can see it next time!

Thanks Bill, I was going to mention the Black Peppered Bacon appetizer to Trainman- bacon lover extraordinaire! I have read the raves about it, and sadly neglected to order it on our Jewel cruise. Hope you give it a go on your next Chops dinner, Trainman, and let us know what you think! :)

Sad to see they are turning this into another pre-fab port. Loved the natural beauty and uniqueness of the island.

The area where they are building ins not disturbing any existing structures. Apparently this area was recently filled to support the construction of the pier.

We pooped out at the existing shops at the terminal area. There were 8 of them.

some friends walked much farther in but only found two more shops.

Sorry I am late to the party, just spent the past hour catching up on the postings. Thank you so much for taking the time to post and let us follow along.

I wish I know your secret to taking pictures of food. Most of the time my food pictures come out looking unedible. :o

I am not one to compare Carnival against Royal, in fact after our recent cruise on the Dream...I do not know when we will ever go again. But I will say this for them, we purchased the internet package for our 10 day cruise and it was $90.00. Speed was excellent and that allowed us access to the internet for everything other than streaming video. I think Royal is pretty outrageous with their prices on that. That also included as many devices as we wanted just signed in one at a time.

Thank you for your review Trainman! You and Judith are so cute together and I try never to miss one of your live reviews!!!:D

Just before I sat down to check in here, I was taking care of laundry. The last thing I folded was my Punta Gorda tee. :D
