Upgrade crapshoot

Our TA asked if we were interested in an upgrade in case one becomes available. She says not to hold our breathe, but it's a possibility. This is for the March 3 Mayan Mystique on the Riviera. We're 98 days out as of today and there is a lot of availability. Just wondering what the chances of upgrades being offered and when? We have to let our TA know if we're interested and how much we're willing to pay. We're currently in a B3 with an extended veranda.

B3 extended balcony is arguably the best of the Bs (honestly, midship B1&B2 on the O ships is only negligibly more even keeled). Also on the Os, an upgrade to A gets you no more initial restaurant reservations than B. And if you go to A, you lose the extended balcony.

It's best to buy the cabin or suite you enjoy and not take the chance of not getting what you want. It's your vacation and you want to have the best time ever. So go with what your budget can afford, that way you'll get what you want to meet your needs.

And as mentioned by LHT28 we are talking "upsell" not "upgrade." Big difference.

I meant upsell and not upgrade. Thanks for the reminder. Our budget can afford an upsell, but we'll stick with what we have. I just the cruise was next week instead of 96 days from now.
