Honey stung chicken was served both weeks of my B2B in November on boarding day. When was your last cruise?

Just off the January 6 Grandeur sailing. Ate both lunch and dinner in the Windjammer all 10 days. No honey-stung chicken.

Two years ago they had it boarding day only.

I think it was on the room service menu; but we never ordered room service.

Hello everyone . . . Today was a very relaxing day. I remember reading on my Roll Call (Cruise Critic) that our Meet and Mingle was at 11AM in the VCL. It seems that it was changed to the South Pacific Lounge at 10AM. . . This was when I was making my post this morning. Oh well . . . Sorry that I missed the event. I heard it was a lot of fun.

I did make it to the Port and Shopping talk in the Palladium Theater, and there were not that many passengers there. I used to remember when the theater was filled for this type of event. I think that a lot more time is spent on shopping talk vs Port talk. I think that the wellness of passengers may increase as it gets a little warmer this week. We should be up to the high 70's by Thursday.

The seas have been choppy all day, and the rolling motion has kept a few passengers in their cabins. This afternoon wasn’t as bad, but the seas stirred up this evening. There were many playoff games on today shown throughout the ship (Pool Deck, Casino Bar, Schooner Bar and South Pacific Lounge) It seems that there are lot of football fan on board that are very sure that their team will win.

I found out that the best time to relax in Casino Royale is just when it opens and at around 5PM. I stopped there at 5 tonight on my way to the DL, and it was very empty . . . maybe a dozen passengers were there to support my winnings.

I had a great dinner at Giovanni's Table, and I have to say that I have eaten more in 2 days then I have had in a week. . .The food is endless (and delicious) The coffee was good there too. I am being spoiled by the dining on Grandeur of the Seas.

We should be picking up the pilot tomorrow morning by 9:30AM, as we are scheduled at the pier at 10:30. Yes, I know that Port Canaveral is in Central Florida, but the warm(er) weather will make a big difference. I won’t be at the beach but I have a few things planned.

Thanks for all of the nice comments. .. and thanks for tuning in.

Hello everyone and good morning. Welcome to DAY 3 of "LIVE" from Grandeur of the Seas. We are in Port Canaveral at CT-3 on the south side of the Port. It was nice to see a sunrise early this morning as Grandeur was sailing south towards our first port of call. It was still cold outside, but 50’s cold is much better than 30’s cold. . .

Today with us in Port Canaveral is Enchantment of the Seas (CT1 ) and Disney Dream (CT8 ).Passengers must be on board by 9PM as we will be leaving at 9:30PM. The weather is a little cool (52F) and may creep up to about 60F. At least we have sunny skies, and let me tell you it feels good to have a little sun.

I am still a little unsure of what will be done today, but I have a few things in mind. Here are a few pics of our arrival

Want to see if worth going. Big thing is the are not use to american taste in alot of ways according to reviews I've read. Are you going to do a Live from MSC? Enjoying your review so far. Thanks

Hello everyone. . . All passengers were cleared by 10:15 this morning. I left by around 11AM. I rented my car from Payless. . .it is just a few blocks from the pier. I could have walked but I took the shuttle. The Payless manager suggested that there has been a lot of action since the opening of Cruise Terminal 1 (Home of Freedom, Enchantment, and soon Oasis of the Seas) The pricing were very reasonable (under $40) with unlimited mileage.

Some CC member suggested they were going to the Brevard Zoo (20 south of Cape Canaveral) I have been here many times, but never at the Zoo. It was a fun day but very crowded due to a national holiday (MLK birthday) It is someplace I may try for a good zip line experience. You can also kayak through the Africa exhibit. There are many clean restrooms, and lots of areas to eat and drink. They also have many volunteers that are around to discuss the exhibits.

I went to Canaveral Locks on the way back to see some Manatees, but unfortunately they were closed to dredging.

I made it back by 4PM, just in time to see Enchantment of the Seas and Disney Dream leave the pier. We will be seeing Disney Dream again tomorrow in Nassau.

Here are a few pics from today. . .

Thanks for the "live" report. We are on the Grandeur in March. Just wondering if they are offering any specialty restaurant deals on board. I noticed you have done two so far. Enjoy the rest of your cruise.

Hello everyone . . .Good Morning and Welcome to DAY 4 of “LIVE” from Grandeur of the Seas.

We left Port Canaveral last night at 9:30 with no runners. It got very cold just after sail away, but all passengers knew we were heading to warmer weather.

We are currently just east of CoCo Cay heading to Nassau travelling at 16kts. The weather is indeed warmer than yesterday. The temperature is 73F but should warm up to about 78F. There are a lot of clouds, but no rain. It is feeling very windy, but I will take the wind over the cold.

We should be picking up the pilot by 1PM and should be tied up by 1:30PM. I may go over to Paradise Island, maybe do some shopping in town or may just relax at a beach. Much of this depends on the weather as it always does in Nassau.

Last night I wasn’t really feeling like going to the MDR, so I just had dinner in the Windjammer. It seems that the Windjammer offers many of the selections from the MDR (Great Gatsby Dining Room) menu for the day. Not every item, but several if the entrees and desserts were served there.

It was nice to enjoy a fresh Americano in the CL this morning (along with my recently purchased Coffee Mate) I may need to get a few more in Key West !

Here are a few pics from last night and this morning . . . There will be more pics later today from Nassau.

Thanks for tuning in . . .

Here's a pic of Lady G outside my car window. Currently waiting for them to open up parking. We're car number 5 in line and have been waiting about 10 minutes.

Looks like you guys may be running into digging cars out when getting back to Baltimore...Friday there is to be 1-3 inches and then Saturday they are projecting 8-12inches!

I hope not. When Radio returns, we will be waving to him as we get ready to embark.

As always, loving the review.

Hello everyone. . . We docked this afternoon at 1:30PM. The ship was cleared shortly thereafter. I left the ship around 2:30. I am surprised that Festival Place is still be remodeled, as I was here last April and it was closed then. All of the vendors have been moved to outside. The sun was out today and it felt very nice. It was partly cloudy but very warm (77F).

I worked my way up to the British Colonial Hilton. I just relaxed up there, and had some lunch. It was nice that the waiter entered in the password for the Hilton WiFi. The water was beautiful and the food was very nice. I also like the view of all ships in port. I was hoping that the new resort on Cable Beach (Baha Mar) was open, but maybe next time.

I went to a few shops while in Nassau, but there wasn’t anything that made me want to buy. I decide to go back to the Ship around 5PM. There were a ton of passengers that waited in line for a long time at around 6PM. I am guessing that they needed to get back for dinner.

We leave tonight at midnight and I am not sure that I can stay awake. We don’t have to go very far to get to Coco Cay, and I am hoping that the weather there is a repeat of today. I would like to go ashore there. . .

Here are a few pics from this afternoon. Thanks for tuning in
