signature drink pkg

If you know the prices of the drinks you like and about how many you will have each day, then you can decide if it is for you.

The Signature Beverage Package can not be used during Happy Hour.

We had the Signature Beverage Package via the Explore4 package. I kept track of what we drank each day. Definitely not worth buying the package for us.

We usually get te SBP because it's easier than keeping track on every purchase and resolving conflicts which happen occasionally. It also covers non alcoholic drinks, water and speciality coffees. But during Happy Hour we were always able to get a drink. You just don't get the second one for a dollar charge since all drinks under $8 are covered and are free. The receipt we got listed the second drink at $1 but it never showed up on our final bill.

If you get a drink more than $8 you pay full fare and there you would be able to get the second one for a dollar during Happy Hour.

Slight correction: It *can* be used during Happy Hour, but you don't get a second drink for a dollar.

Realistically, you'd probably want to avoid the crowded Happy Hour venues and just get drinks elsewhere. But if you just love, love, love crowds, you can use your card to get a drink.

Is there a decent range of beers available as part of the Signature package? Beyond Bud and Bud Light I mean? Is there a list somewhere?

Here is the current bar menu with beers available:

I am sure it varies from ship to ship and cruise to cruise, but the early happy hour in the Ocean Bar and the late happy hour in the Silk Den were never crowded during our Nov 2015 Nieuw Amsterdam cruise.

We just got off the Westerdam and had the SBP. The Ocean Bar was always crowded during happy hour, but emptied out as soon as the hour was over. We told them we did not need the second drink for a $1 because we were on the drink package. The servers got to know us and always brought us what we wanted. When we requested a double the servers let us know it was up to the bar Manager how many drinks could be ordered at a time on the SBP. On the Westerdam we could have ordered three drinks at a time. We would order a double or an extra shot in our drink and they never showed up on our room bill. The Westerdam has a wonderful bar staff and manager!!

can 1 person order 2 drinks during happy hour?

ie - can a solo cruiser take advantage?

Yes, one person can order two of the same drink during happy hour - regardless of the drink package.
