Adventure Review.. Feb 20th.. No need to watch where we're going; just need to know

So my plan is to do an Adventure review. We're pretty critical people unless we're cruising and then we tend to make the best of things. Preparing for this trip has been challenging because detailed reviews are hard to find, and a lot of others are very negative. I hope to be able to provide a balance. We will take lots of pictures this week and post when we return. Thankfully, I have AT&T service on my iPad so I have data and thought I Wouk start the review before we leave port. So if you have specific questions try to post in the next several hours and I'll check back before we depart and jot them down.

A little background info, the title is a quote from my little guys favorite movie Cars and his favorite character Mater. It is significant because we booked very early and scored Aft balcony 1388.

We are Bill & Angie from TN. We booked this trip 2 years ago when Royal first started the BOGO 50% before they realized what a good deal it was and messed it up. The purpose of this cruise was to celebrate the completion of my MBA program, our anniversary, and my 40th birthday (tomorrow).

Staterooms are ready so we're going to head up. I'll be back before sail away and try to take a few pics.

Looking forward to your reviews. I will be on the Adventure in Dec in 9692 aft.

Do you have to take your life jackets for Muster and what time is it?

Interest in what you did in each port? ship excursion or private?

I did. A recent thread inspired it since we did absolutely nothing for ours last month. It's pillow cases, a photo frame, a hanging wire photo thingy, a door magnet, and two hanging decorations plus a cake. I think this one way $80.

No life jackets to muster. Ours is 5:45, with a later one for those that don't board until after 5.

We have two independent exclusions planned. Tomorrow in St Thomas is with Fury Charters for a snorkel excursion. In St Lucia we've booked Cosol tours. I'll review both when we return. The other islands will most likely be beach days or lazy days close to the ship.

We have very demanding schedules at home. Four kids, the oldest who is getting married in October at home. Bill is an RN and when he works we don't see him for several days do this is a chance for us to have some down time and to relax.

Looking forward to your review. What type of room are you in? Room # ?

Thank you

1388

It's an Aft balcony D1 cabin. It's unique because cabin is larger in size similar to a junior suite. It has a pole through it because of the ship structure. It has a large corner balcony, which I am enjoying right now while responding.

Looking forward to your review. I was taking a continuing education course this morning at the convention center, the view of the Adventure and the Summit didn't help my concentration.... Kept telling my husband that I can't wait for our next cruise! :):)

Just off Adventure and watched you sail away from the Sheraton Casino Hotel. Stop by the champagne bar. The trio there, Virginia, Didiere and Riza are just phenomenal. Tell them Jerrod & Nick say hello. We miss them already. Have a great time! We had a blast!!

Anything you post will be wonderful! Any compasses or menus you can post would be great (or esp. the order of menus). Im taking my husband on his first cruise in august and we have a different itinerary but some things will be the same! Thanks for sharing! I'm debating on that anniversary pkg! Jane

Tonight was Chive, which was not one I'm familiar with. MDR service was very slow. We are doing Giovanni's tomorrow night.

I'm losing service as we sail away. Ship is rocking pretty good, which I did not expect.

Wow, it usually doesn't get to rocking so soon, it mostly rocks some if your itinary takes you thru the straights between Cuba and Haiti. looking forward to your review, sailing on her in April. Have a wonderful cruise. :D
