Which Western Caribbean Cruise next February?

Hello All,

I am eyeing up 3 cruise options for next February:

6 nights on the Eclipse - 2 sea days and ports of GeorgeTown, Cozumel, Costa Maya

7 nights on Equinox - 2 sea days and ports of Labadee, Falmouth, George Town, Cozumel

7 nights on Silhouette - 2 sea days and ports of Cococay, Cozumel, Georgetown, and Falmouth.

Anybody have strong feelings that one is better than the other two? I really wanted to go to Cococay, but I am seeing that ships miss that port a lot in February due to weather.

Thoughts? Advice? Don't go to the Caribbean in February? I do get seasick...

And also, will probably not do a lot of excursions - or at least not expensive ones. Plan to beach it while in port if possible.

Thanks for your help!

Julie

Six of one, half a dozen of the other. If the seas are rough then there is always difficulty getting into Grand Cayman because the ship tenders there.

Generally the Gulf is much less rough than the Atlantic, but we all know that weather forecasts are far from exact! Take whatever precautions you would normally take for sea sickness.

If you want beach days, Labadee is great. And so is Coco Cay, but it's also a tender port so is more likely to be missed.

Am I missing something? There are no 7 night cruises on the Equinox this next February that I can find. I am only seeing 10 and 11 nighters for this ship in Feb 2017.

And the Eclipse only has two 14 day cruises next February. The 6 night cruise starts on January 2.

I would book Sillie.......you want to go to Cococay....so book it and hope the weather is good....if not you will probably have the same itinerary as the Equinox booking so why not try for the port you want.....as to eclipse...you get an extra night on Sillie....is there some hidden advantage to the Eclipse booking?

I would say that the itinerary would be the most important to me.

We just did the Reflection Super Bowl cruise and had a great time. Watching the game in the theater was great and having a tailgate party in the Casino and on the back of the theater was fun.

The ports were Puerto Rico, St Thomas and St Maarten. All very nice ports.

If you like football it is a great cruise. If you are not a football fan, it is still a very nice cruise.

What are we missing here? I see the same thing as you -- Equinox 10 and 11 nights and Eclipse, only 14 night itineraries. Maybe the OP means January, as you suggested.
