Just off the Conquest, this was my last Carnival Cruise....

as a platinum VIFP! On my next cruise, also on the Conquest in June, I will "graduate" to Diamond.

This was a casino cruise, very relaxing, with 3 sea days and 4 ports: St Kitts, St Maarten, San Juan and Grand Turk, all beach days.

I thought the casino cash drawings were a bit lower than some other casino cruises I've been on......the 1st nights' drawing was for $300, and I don't think they went over $1,000 until the 7th day.

I had late dining, service was provided by a group of 3 different waitstaff who alternated every night, rather than having the same head waiter and asst. each night.

I didn't eat any pizza or guys burgers, so I can't comment on them except to say I wasn't interested.

Spoke to the Captain at the past guest party and told him I'm returning to the Conquest since he runs such a tight ship.

BTW, I don't think the Diamond thing is that different than Platinum, but the card is white.

Welcome to Diamond.

BTW are they still doing two evenings of Hasbro only in main lounge?

Thanks, Stu. They had the marraige game and, hasbro on different nights, I wasn't interested in either. I spent my post dinner evenings in the casino or at the comedy shows.

BTW, the Conquest did not have the smoke eaters in its casino like the Glory did in Jan and Feb. My throat is still a bit raspy from the smoke.

Enjoyed our last two cruises on Conquest mainly due to comedy club and pbe. Entertainment in main lounge is now rather pathetic.

We will be on the Conquest June 9 and this is good to know! I'm particularly sensitive to smoke so I'll just have to pick some off times to donate money at the casino.

FTTF get ya most benefits without being loyal. Spread your wings.

I wouldn't have wasted my money on FTTF if it had been available prior to getting to platinum. My wings have been spread for a while. I prefer Disney and Celebrity,Princess for Alaska and the Med, and my next cruise is on NCL's Breakaway. I'm guessing you don't read cruise history to make such an inane comment.

Should I tell you to jump on an Indian and leave the hog by the curb?

Hahahaha......... You almost had me.

I was ready to go and get my popcorn:D:D

Congrats on making Diamond!!!!

Maybe SOMEDAY I'll get there..........

Thanks!

I thought the same, that I would never get there, but a few B2B's sure made it come a lot sooner than I could ever imagined!

Keep at it! It's fun along the way.

We became Diamond a few years ago, perks are nice but in hindsight should have started up with princess some years ago to get to Elite which has much better perks.

You had me baffled there, your title sounds like it's you last Carnival cruise. Sounds like you had a great time and congrats for making Diamond. We just made elite on Princess. Other than getting free laundry, there's not much difference from platinum - except for priority debarkation at ports. Platinums on Princess don't get that.

Oh I forgot about the mini bar in your state room on Princess when you're elite. I don't drink the heavy stuff so DH will enjoy it.

Princess also give free internet minutes. A very nice perk

Congrats on Diamond, next year I will finally break the 100 night mark on Carnival.
