First Night Seafood Buffet

We haven't cruised since 2007. Princess used to have a seafood buffet the first night. Lobster claws, crab legs etc. Is that still something they do???

Not on any I've been on, including last Oct/Nov.

The sail-a-way seafood buffet was held for a few years in the Horizon only to try & lure people away from going to the dining room on the first night due to it being overwhelmed by the crowd. It was expensive for Princess & didn't work since people first went to the buffet for the seafood & later went to the DR anyway.

Well it worked for us. We were lured there and never made it to the dining room that night on several cruises. Well, like lots of other things, here today and gone tomorrow! We are behind on the changes, haven't been able to cruise for several years due to family and health issues. We have alot of time to make up for! Thanks everyone for the info.

Same here. After a few plates of lobster claws & crab legs who could possibly eat a full dinner other than a late dessert in the DR?

We did both! Always got a plate of lobster claws for sailaway. The DR and the HC were both crowded the first night even before the seafood was offered. It made no difference.

We miss it though. :(
