Smoking and Drinking on Navigator

We recently did the Navigator TA,

 

Smoking in the Casino, and from what i could tell, mainly caused by people sitting around ash trays and not doing any gambling, oouzed out into the schooner bar ( could not sit here) out the other end into the stairwell leading to the bars and reception and worst still up the chimney ( the spiral stairs) into the royal Promenade, causing the seats outside of the pub and the wine bar to also be no go seating areas for us.

 

i went down one day to see where all the smell was coming from and it seemed to only be a hand full of people.

 

not a room rammed with smokers, even so the smoke does not stay inside the casino but ventures out to adjacent areas.

 

The voyager class seem to experience worse problems than freedom class , as we have not noticed the issues as bad on independence.

 

must be the ventilation system not coping ??

 

I was in the pub one day when a lady got up took her cigs and went down to the casino, to return a few minutes later fully refreshed. hence using the casino as a smoking den.

 

these ships have smoking lounges so why does the casino need to be used for smoking as well.

 

On Enchantment, the Casino Bar was NON Smoking and was told this was the policy for all ships, I was HAPPY. Empress is NON SMOKING period (Casino).

 

On Serenade, all seats at the Casino bar were occupied with SMOKERS not playing in the Casino. I asked the Casino Host if this was ok for non playing smokers to sit at the bar for long periods of time. He said he couldn't do anything about it.

 

I had over 6000+ Casino Points for my play the night before last night on Cruise. Hopefully I will continue to get their attention. Very small crowds in the Casino except for first two nights. Then I played alone or with a couple of others. I have sent a email regarding smoking at the bar to Club Royale. Maybe they will pass it up the chain, maybe not.

 

I don't know of any ship that has a Smoking Lounge. Some had a Cigar room but I think most of those are going away.

 

I played every night. Twice I got up a left because the smoke was too much for me and the Casino Host noticed this and I told him why.

 

The best thing you can do is to continue to complain and send Club Royale emails.

oops yes i meant the cigar lounge, don't they allow non cigar smokers?

I don't know what's allowed, but I've talked with a few cigar smokers who use that venue and they do not appreciate cigarette smokers in there.

I would like them to at least ban people that are smoking from casino if they are not gambling, I believe Hal does this

 

 

 

Royal Caribbean Australia are not allowed by Australian Law to allow smoking in the casino.

I know when I was on Brilliance it was not, but on Indy it was allowed.

 

Any recent experience or knowledge about Navigators rule on this?

 

I haven't been on that Class. Brilliance is set up like Serenade, I assume. Smoking was allowed on Serenade at the bar, which is right in the middle of the Casino, so really half was in the Non Smoking area. It was almost senseless to have a Non Smoking half.

 

Enchantment was the only ship we have been on where smoking was prohibited at the bar.

Two totally different bars. The Sky Bar is located on deck 12 outside.

yeah..I know that in the Casino on Enchantment you could not smoke at the bar in the casino, but on Indy you could.

 

I am asking about the Sky bar.....overlooking the pool on deck 12 though.

 

I included your original post in my replay to troykahack to show him you were asking about the sky bar and not the casino bar. Agree you and I know the location of the Sky Bar.
