How strictly does RC adhere to uploaded photo requirements?

We used our lap top camera and fit the pictures into the box that is on their check in page. we had a white wall behind us . Remember they will do the same thing when you check in at the pier.

Is there a background though. Every ship I've been on has the sea of people waiting in line as the background

Nope, they just take the pic right there in the checkin area.

Haven't been on Royal Caribbean since Dec 2015. Is this a new "option" on the site. Didn't see anything about up uploading your security picture before hand. I'm guessing this is new?

 

I guess this would be nice, since normally we don't look to "great" when checking in. Being in line and dealing will the "stuff". Would be nice to have a better picture at home then upload it.

Actually they look pretty close to the passport photo requirements IMO. What's hard about the requirements (unless you don't have a neutral color wall to serve as your background)?

 

I was trying to do it on a desktop mac webcam...admittedly thinking about it the might have been better methods:)

We tried to use our web camera on our laptop with the picture function within the set sail pass screens and it wouldn't work. We also tried an ipad and it wouldn't work either. I took the pictures with my iphone and uploaded them with no issues. I liked that it allows you to recenter the picture once it is loaded, one of them was a little off center.
