Miami hotel near drug store or grocery store

Best hotel in Miami walking distance to a grocery store or large drug store chain? If smoking is allowed thats a plus!

BEST is subjective

What do you consider BEST?

the most expensive? The more things to do ?

 

Google Publix or Whole Foods then see what hotels are close by

CVS & Walgreens are everywhere

Thanks..almost 16 years on these boards..I remember how helpful they used to be. At least I was. There was really nothing subjective about Best Hotel near grocery or drug store chain.

Have no idea about smoking room availability :confused:, but finding a Publix grocery or CV drug store is not a challenge in Miami. ;)

 

Do you want to stay out near the MIA airport - check out the Blue Lagoon neighborhood (Hampton Inn, etc.). Downtown check out Mary Brickell area (Homewood Suites, Hampton Inn, etc.) or the area close to Bayside (Holiday Inn, Intercontinental, etc.). Two great hotels on Biscayne Blvd. offer some rooms with a view of the port - Doubletree and next door Marriott.

 

Budget? Dates? Honeymoon? Travelling with kids? How do you define "best"? More info will help the suggestions to be closer to your target? :cool:

Thanks ..best was just a convenience word..best hotel walking distance to someplace we can get some things we don't fly with. budget not important..no honeymoon no kids just one of our many NCL cruises but we usually leave out of NYC since we are 15 minutes from the port.

Holiday inn port of Miami , cvs 1 block down ,cop shop 1 block the other way , bayside market across the street,tour boat leaves from the dock there , get a room on the 8 or 9 th floor

There are many hotels in the Brickell area that fit the bill. From Hampton Inn Brickell, SLS, East Hotel, Homewood Suites, JW Marriott, Conrad, Four Seasons, Mandarin Oriental, Westin, Epic, Intercontinental, etc.

There are 2 Publix grocery stores, Whole Foods, Walgreens, CVS, 7-11s, liquor stores, etc. It all depends on what you want to spend and what you are looking for in a hotel.

Anything in Downtown Miami or Brickell will suit your needs. Dense urban area. There are 4 different CVS/Walgreens within 3 blocks of my apt downtown. Publix in Brickell, Whole Foods in downtown.

I agree with the Downtown or Brickell areas.... There aren't many hotels by the airport that have what you want within "walking distance".

There are many hotels that are convenient to stores and restaurants. Some have been mentioned.

 

The following are located near a Publix, a few different CVS pharmacies as well as Mary Brickell Village (some shopping and a lot of restaurants) and the new Brickell Center (lots of stores and starting to have restaurants)

 

Four Seasons (priciest of these five but in a very quiet area)

East Miami (newest hotel at Brickell Centre and gets terrific views on Trip Advisor. I haven't stayed there but visited it this past January)

Conrad Hilton

JW Mairriot (right next door to 24 hour CVS drug store)

Hampton Inn (includes Breakfast)

 

The next set of hotels is located about 5 to 10 minutes nearer to the port. Slightly longer walk to Mary Brickell and Brickell Centre but very walkable and also a nice location. Also near Whole Foods and also near CVS.

 

Epic Hotel (priciest of this list)

Intercontinental

Marriott Marquis

Hyatt

Holiday Inn Port Of Miami ( I am not recommending it right now. Just don't like the construction taking place next to it)

 

There are many other hotels but this is a nice listing and I purposely provide various price points because everyone has different budgets.
