Everything.. Norwegian BLISS! - launch April 2018 -

Recommended Posts

Re running engines now vs shore power: I think that is a darn good idea! Hopefully they will run extended load tests on all engines, generators, switch gear, computers, asi-pods, septic, water systems etc. before we are in the middle of the Atlantic. This is not their first time at this so that is good. But, I think in the space program it was discovered that over confidence and complacency became a problem after a while.

Here is the site specifically for the TA https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1101 There is a huge Roll Call and planned activities everyday.

Yes, you do have to call for dining reservations or make them on board. You can't make entertainment res'v yet.

Hey guys, first post here. I've been following this thread for quite some time now. Have to thank everyone for the pics and the updates of this beautiful ship...

Booked on the transatlantic in April, first balcony cabin...can't wait although a bit nervous (never done a transatlantic before). Have a few questions if that's ok? (If posting in the wrong thread please remove) ;)

Although my third NCL cruise how will the maiden voyage differ than the other cruises? Can't book shows or dining yet, do we need to call like other people are saying in this thread, or will everything be subject to change as it's all new etc?

Anyone ever done maiden voyages before?

Sorry for the long post! Thanks in advance!!

CALL CALL CALL to make your reservations for dining, shows, thermal Spa, excursions, nothing was working as of yesterday, Those on the First Panama have had to do the same.

Transatlantics I have done, Bring a favorite game, like LCR, Cards, there should be games and books in the Library too. Bring a kindle.

Find the Cruise Critic Roll call see if someone has started a Meet and Greet with the crew, and other events, slot pull, cabin Crawls, pub crawls, sailaway party meeting spots after Muster.

If you are solo find the other solos, The Solo lounge will have meetups, go to the meetups even if not in a studio, its on the dailies

Bring a highlighter, the dailies have TOO Much to do, you will never be bored.

Pretty sure there will be special events for the innagural. My Friend Mary a Casino geust and a few other I know will be onboard

Norwegian Night Out, dress up or not night. The Captain may be about on this night for photo ops , that will be listed in the Dailies

Glow night, the big party night where White, and tie dye do best, Ultraviolet party lights, glow sticks and Music. Weather permitting at Spice H2O most likely. Hit the party store or dollar stores for Glow sticks, and glow jewelry

And you thought your post was long!

I am on June 2 first Alsaka, we have about 140 for the Meet and greet

also on Nov 3 2018 2nd Panama, over 135 already for that (expect well over 300 by Nov)

Some on the transatlantic are unable to make dining reservations, even when calling. We suspect it’s related to bookings that also have air booked through NCL.

Right. I knew it wasn’t paintball! Sorry! But wouldn’t it be funny if it was paintball?

Shoot, UBP and paintball? Darn right it would be hilarious. If they had that, they should put cameras around the course and show it up on deck for the crowds to cheer on the participants. Bonus points for using one hand to hold a drink, and the other to hold the gun.

As it is, I'm chuckling imagining the DUI on the go kart track. As long as they keep the kids separate from the adults, the karts have bumpers so it should be safe, unlike on the actual road.

Nice post !

Maybe NCL will be learning along the way.

...and Shoot; keeping the so-called paintball guns out of the District Brew House (?);p

Someone said that there was zero tolerance on the Joy. If there was any indication that drinking has occurred, then the guests wouldn’t be allowed on the track.

The lines at 6am are going to be looooong.

After a night of drinking I'm not sure who will be up at 6am nor would I imagine that I had sobered up yet... LOL [emoji41]

On the Escape's inaugural transatlantic, I was first-in-line for the Rope Course.

Me thinks it wasn't until about 10:00 on the second day when the crew was ready.
