NCL Jade Refurb Pictures

Recommended Posts

Enjoyed your pictures very much. We will be on Jade in August and I had read somewhere that O'Sheehans has prime rib on Saturdays and it is not to be missed. Is that true of the "new" Jade? Did you take any menu pictures there? Thanks.

We had the Prime Rib in O'Sheehan's on the Gem and I do believe it was our first night which was a Saturday but can't swear to it. Anyway, it was good. We really like O'Sheehan's and probably eat their more than the dining rooms or the buffet.

Do you have pics of the Tankards menu? Wondering if there are any of the craft beers from the Escape. Thanks!

new chairs now in Bliss Lounge

they are still replacing many things on the ship

on the right side there are still some old ones

I guess they will be gone today in the evening, when we return to the ship ;-)

On our cruise last week, Mirsad mentioned that most of the new furniture was coming once the ship gets over to Europe since most of it is made in Italy. So it was mostly the old furniture still on the ship last week. That was quite clear in a few places more than others. Spinnakers looked like it was missing half the chairs and tables around the sides (last day jackpot bingo and cruise raffle was a nightmare with the lack of seating -- should've been in the theater).

Never was on the pre-drydock Jade, but unless you looked close, most of the old stuff on it still looked pretty good to me. Theater seating definitely hasn't been replaced, but not sure if it's supposed to be or not. I most certainly prefer the "couch" or "booth" style seating in ship theaters vs. the folding seats on the Jade. Felt like we had to get up every 2 minutes to let someone else get by.

Mel71,

thank you for the pictures- especially the pool picture that shows the stairs for the pool- My husband and I would like to do a panama Canal Cruise- however due to his stroke he uses stairs to get in an out of a pool. And not all cruise companies have stairs in any of their pools. This will work wonderfully!:) We have never cruised NCL but hear great things about them.

got a new table for our balcony some minutes ago

yesterday Mirsad told us at the M&M that they will change many more things.

Last furniture will be delivered in Southampton, cause most of the furniture is produced in Italy and Portugal. So its easier to send it to Southampton

here you can see the only thing that I dont like up to now:

one part of Sugar Cane is used for Moderno

so it doesnt seem like a bar and if I would have a table there for eating I wont like it either

at 11 am we will start our cabin crawl - I will show some pictures of it, if the hosts will allow me to take pictures :-)

As far as my wife and I were concerned based on the cruise just before yours, they could've just gotten rid of Moderno on the Jade all together. Their food is cooked in the same kitchen as Cagney's, but Cagney's tastes leaps and bounds better. Moderno just seemed like an afterthought in its new location, and the meat was rather bland, aside from the sausages.
