I think we need all of the Anthem lovers and haters to focus their posts on tips and tricks like this one!!

 

Rick - I have never been on Anthem! I need to see the Giraffe!!!

That girl has some height to her. In case you forgot, I'm a short Italian boy. Pictures of the giraffe are easy, pictures on the giraffe might end with a triple Oscar.

For the sake of the rest of the passengers please wear something under the robe if you decide to prance along the glass floor. Nobody wants to see that if they do happen to look up.

Ahem Ahem. There's an easy way to solve this. Bring Anthem/Quantum-class to the West Coast and put up billboards about the speed tests for the wifi via satellite. I assure you, it is totally a selling point for anyone in a tech hub whose boss sees "Time off request - Cruise" in their inbox and has a minor melt down about lack of halfway decent internet access. Then just convert the Cafe Promenade to do some fancy coffee like pour over, raise the price 3x, and add more micro brews to the pub. Oh, and convert part of the buffet to vegan, vegetarian options, and add a surcharge for Solarium Cafe where they would offer acai and poke bowl bars.

 

I would totally take that cruise. And husbands boss would be all about it.

Neglecting you guys hard core.

 

Check- in was smooth as can be. We were on the ship shortly after 11 AM. Got the kids registered at Adventure Ocean, although you can not sign up for time slots (0-2 program) until 8 PM tonight, which made waiting for them to open at noon a little frustrating.

 

Rooms were ready at 1 PM and my bags were already waiting in the hallway.

My only issue with the cabin - the deck 13 cave effect, which is only made worse by the cloudy day we are having. I am not complaining though as I got the room for a steal.

3 PM muster drill. My station is located at the Schooner Bar, consistent with my last sailing on the Anthem in September.

 

Have you ever sat at a closed bar? It is very depressing!

This new "Project Bear" safety film feels like one of those videos they have on repeat when you wait for rides at Universal. I guess this is Royal's way of keeping up with the airlines to make these things more entertaining.

Jelena at the Schooner bar was our favorite bartender in June of last year! I wonder if she is still there!

 

Have a great sailing!

 

 

We enjoyed her too last June. She was actually moved to the Sunshine bar in the Solarium which we found out in March and is still on board as far as I know.
